There are 7 comments on the POZ story from Mar 17, 2008, titled South Park Dares to Add a Hint of Tragedy to Its AIDS Comedy. In it, POZ reports that:

“AIDS isn't funny, dying isn't funny, so shut the [bleep] up!”

When ads for this past Wednesday's season premiere of Comedy Central's hit animated series South Park hinted that foulmouthed 8-year-old star Eric Cartman would be diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, few ... via POZ

It seems like people with HIV live a lot longer than they used to. Spazz, a dude I know in NY, is a junkie, homeless -- just takes the shittiest care of himself. He's had HIV at least ten years, looks great, and I have a feeling he's going to outlive all of us.

Is it this way in places like South Africa -- that people with HIV are living a lot longer -- or is it just here?

I was kind of hoping that either Cartman or Kyle would remain HIV positive. The show ends, I believe, in 2011, and it would have just mixed things up a little.

One more thing --
South Park, please don't do a cheesy episode about the upcoming election. Thank you.

South Park is the funniest coolest cartoon ever. Way better than Family Guy. My favourie character has got to be Cartman. The episode I find the funniest is 'The Return of Chef'. The black stipper that got Chefs memory back was so funny. She shaked her ass with Chef's head in it. That was funny. At the end of the episode the Super Adventure Club brought Chef back to life by turning him into a Darth vader version. So even though the black guy that did the voice for Chef left he could still return as the Darth Vader version.
