You guys sound like some real winners??? As much as we all pay for Elec. I think they should do more then what they do. I also think everyone has the right to be there,Hell if you pay for elec. then you payed for that show.Lower our bills and cut out the show!!!! But if they are going to take our money and do this then any and everyone has the right to be there rich or poor!!!!!!

i agree. didn't get to go this year. but they could do better than they do. the times i have went had to get there around 3 in order to get a seat where you could be able to see the show and sit till the show time. then you have all the people comeing up taking pictures and they just stand there in front you. nothing wrong in getting pictures. just have the respect to not stand in front of people. yes everyone has a right to be there. but i think members should be able to be there before non members. were the one paying the high bills that pays for this concert every year. they could do better in keeping people from standing in front of people.but thats just my thought on it.

WELL, let us be honest here: no one other than redneck freaks is gonna wanna hear Tracy Lawrence sing anyway! It wasn't the metropolitan opera, it was a washed-up former country star who is just as redneck as his fans. Sorry I missed that, but glad some of you had a nice time.

Judged:
1 If you do a little investigating, you will find that Kentuckians are in the top 5 for lowest electricity rates in the US... If there was any complaint it should be that they moved their albany offices so far out of town. They should have moved it closer to town. |
||||
they should close the office and merge with Somerset sale the land and have people mail in there payments 5 co-ops would cover the whole state i think there may be 15 at this time. |
||||
Your name says it all. This is Kentucky. Sorry it wasn't LiL Wayne. Go to LA to the free concerts there and see who ya get. Are they not all washed up? You live in the country your gonna get country singing. HELLO!! |
||||
hey i talked to tracy before the big show and he said i hope to hell shaniqua doesnt show up shes a loser!!and a lesbian to boot!!lmao |
||||
For your info., he just had a new c.d. out a few monthes back. So how is that "washed up"? Although I didn't go this time because I was sick, I've been the last three years and have enjoyed it. Good clean fun. Everyone is always a critic! |

I think it's a nice commnunity service whenever some event like this is staged for consumers/customers. However, I would much rather that RECC take the cost of an event like this and use the funds to reduce our bills throughout the year,give a month's free or greatly reduced electric service, or even hold a drawing and give away free service for a year to some lucky family or two,or something.
I just don't think that a concert, which doesn't even appeal to the majority, some roasted weanies, and a few free light bulbs is as good as lower electric bills. My RECC bill averages about 2k a year. I would be willing to bet that the shindig they put on every year costs ten times that, at least. That's a lot of electric service which they could be giving back to the customers. IMHO. You can't stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer,cook meals,or take a hot shower,on the memory of a music concert and a fully belly from one lone summer day. |

The food isn't free, you have to pay the vendors for it!

Hey KE! Well, that's even worse! I have never been in the 3 summers I have lived here because to me, it equals crowds, hot sun, and lots of noise!!! I am sure it's fun to many others though, and that's fine. I just think that if polled, most RECC customers would rather have a lower bill, some kind of a rebate, or something else that is cost related, rather than this outdoor concert event. I could be wrong though, but since they never asked I don't guess we can know. I am VERY pleased with RECC's service (electrical AND customer service) and I was skeptical at first because I had never had rural electric service before. I don't mean to criticize their summer events, I just think that this money which they earmark for the customers, could be better spent, that's all. |
