To the Tommy Dorsey fan and the fans of the swing era, I have found an amazing piece of musical history. I have acquired a copy of the last edition of the newspaper published by Sentimental Gentleman of Swing, Tommy Dorsey himself. After many, many hours of research and hundreds of phone calls, I have come to realize that I have the only known in existence copy of his last published issue. There were only six issues ever printed beginning in January of 1939 and ending in June of the same year. This information can be checked in the biography written by Paul J. Levinson. The Big Band Academy of America in California has just ran a story on the paper and it is an interesting read. Feel free to look for the paper as I have it on several sites.
Thank you,
