Pride? Really? The economy is in bad shape, the world thinks pretty low of us right now, and the outgoing administration has all but reversed science and research in the past 8 years, and we want to talk about pride? 5 years of piggy backing with the Russians is a small price if it means our astronauts come home.

Three Billion a year to keep a shuttle going at NASA? Well the 700 billion we just gave the wall street bankers could have bought about 230 more space shuttles. I wonder what we really got for the 700 billion.

Nothing. Imagine what else we could have done with 700 billion.

Let me get this straight -- Florida is cutting $180 million from Medicaid program and NASA is spending 3 BILLION a year to keep the shuttles? What's wrong with this picture?

You're looking at it wrong. Florida is saving 180 million while only spending 3 billion. See?

Obama says we have to spend our way out of debt. This is the plan. We need to buy a few hundred more space shuttles just to keep the economy going. And spend a few hundred million more on Medicaid too. Its not what you spend the money on, its only that you spend it. John Maynard Keynes figured that out. And sold it to FDR who printed and spent money like crazy in an attempt to end the Great Depression. It took wasting billions of dollars on World War 2 to actually end the Great Depression.

TO ROBESPIERRE: On your last rant. At the time of FDR we were a low tax nation. Today we are a high tax nation with debts and promised benefit payouts as far as you can see. You know there are problems when government gives you back some of your own money or at least some of the money the Federal Reserve prints.
