I absolutely CANNOT stand it when something like this happens and there is not any explanation as to why. I think the fans deserve to know a little bit about the decision. I realize that we don't have to know ALL the dirt, but a comment from both parties after a decision of this magnitude is really just good manners.

I am so sad about this situation. The band has said themselves that Brad had contributed to the reason for their sound. He will be greatly missed and third day will not be the same.we will continue to be fans but we will miss you greatly. In christian love, JASMINE GOMER.

As a long time third day fan, it deeply saddens me to see Brad Avery leaving. In retrospect, I've been in situations just like this, where I was "dismissed" but the band leader made it sound like a mutual thing even tho really I just wanted to leave on my own due to philosophical differences. Personally for me, I think there may very well have been disagreements on both sides and Mac, David, Mark, and Tai may have very well told him it's time to hit the road. Brad always seemed distant to the rest of the band, just look at the body language on the cover of their last album notice how far away he is from the other guys on the "Wherever You Are" album even tho they are all walking together. Honestly, the band's sound won't be full anymore that's for sure they'll truly miss his guitar playing but I'm sure there was a real explanation for this even tho wasn't really given other than a general statement.

I really sorry that Brad is gone. I really enjoyed the concert. You guy need to come out here more often. Its like no one care that we are there. This town needs more Christian concert out here. It keeps our spirit going . The child of this town needs to be up lifted. Thank you for being there. You guys are great.

Wow, I still am wondering what happened, he was diffinently a main staple to the Third Day sound. He will not be replaced very easily, he was the writer of Rise Up, one of my favorite Third Day songs.

Brad Avery is hot!!! Maybe they were jealous. Who knows what happened, it must not be good if they aren’t revealing the real reason for his dismissal, It won’t be the same without him.

ya all are in our preyers as long as god stays the center it will all be ok stay focused on only him

I think you mean, "A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!!!!! " Yeah, that's better.

If you look at the music style of the rest of the band it is a worship style Brad was more of a rocker.. He put the leads together and made it exciting when it needed some flavor...this could or could not be why he left... its just an opinion

wow i have followed third day from the beginning and Brad was a very talented giutarist i sure will miss him God bless you brad.

I'm going to go out on a limb. A guitarist such as Brad Avery, needs to fully express his soul through his instrument. I often felt that Brad's solo's were awesome but way too short even in concerts. Maybe he was fighting for "Air" time? Okay maybe not as superficial as I'm making it sound but I think this is probably one of the reason's for his departure?
Since he's a mid-west guy, he would fit in with The Elms. What do you guys think? |
