TMBG is one of those rare bands that actually puts on a FUN show. The audience varies from early teens to guys like me pushing their 40s. Although there's seating available, get off your butt... you're not that old and it's not a sit down-show. Join me in front of the stage. I'll be the middle aged guy doing the pogo in the front row.

I love this group, and I would go see them, but for the venue. The last time I went to a concert at the Rio, the sound quality was horrible. And to compensate for that, the sound guys just cranked up the volume. It was not a pleasant experience.

It's great how They Might Be Giants have been able, and continue to keep such a devoted following for over three decades. They might be ahead of their time, but they definitely have found their place in music. Ever since I first found the band through their appearances on Homestar Runner, I have had nothing but respect for the Johns and their work. I wish they still did Dial-A-Song, and also... I wouldn't have guessed that "Boss of Me" was unfinished; it always sounded complete to me!

The show at the Rio was fantastic, IMHO. I've loved them since their early days, and both I and my kids love them today (I owe my kids extensive knowledge of conifers and nations to their ABC themed songs). Their kids music doesn't talk down to the kids, but makes them feel like more of an adult...and their music for adults really brings out the kid in me. Who could ask for more?
