I agree, zepforever. Whatever Zeppelin decides to do is great with me. I look forward to it.

I am uncertain as to why it matters what Jeff Beck thinks.

The only thing better than a Led Zeppelin reunion would be a Pink Floyd reunion. If Led Zeppelin ever do reunite i will be the first to the que to buy a ticket when Led Zeppelin do a gig in London town !!!!!!!

I'll be second in the queue.

I saw Roger Waters in Philadelphia last year and the production was as spectacular as a full-blown Pink Floyd show. Best concert I've seen in years, and I have been to a lot of good ones lately.

time for these ancient old rockers to retire. "Stairway to Heaven" is the most boring, dull record ever made.

Perhaps this "modern" man enjoys something he considers more relevant today, like dancing to Hannah Montana.

Amazing fact man should get his facts right... Stairway To Heaven is a song not a record... that would be Led Zeppelin IV as it has came to be known and only "Stairway To Heaven" by those who haven't got a clue which one it was... besides, that "record" is better than anything today and most thing since... amazing fact man should change his name to "not so amazing and totally full of sht."

Tell it like it is, brother -- because that IS the way it is!!!

Zep IV:

Black Dog, Rock n' Roll, Battle of Evermore, Stairway to Heaven, Misty Mountain Hop, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks

I think I have the order right. THAT is one great album. I'll take "ancient" over today's crap any day.

Oh, I forgot Four Sticks. Did I get 'em all?

Actually what Jeff is saying is they should just leave the legacy alone.
Not gonna find a bigger fan of Zepp than myself but would it really be OK to tour without Robert and call it Led Zeppelin. It would be ridiculous.
Zeppelin will never go away, thats been proven already. If Page,Jones and Jason wanna do something with another vocalist then please call it something else. Do not tarnish the Zepp name.

See now that's the problem... it's none of your business what Page and JPJ want to do with the Zep name!!!

Beck used play with Page in his home in their high school days, before either became famous.
Beck was better at first, but Jimmy learned fast and surpassed (in my opinion). Jimmy, being humble, never cared about who was better. All he cared about was the music, and taking it to the next level.
Beck sounds a bit jealous. He knows Page better than Plant. A comment like that from Beck is designed to play-down Page's contribution to Zep. Page founded Zep, not Plant. Pagey can do with Zep as he likes.
Having said that, I also state that Zep would not be what it is, without Plant. But, as the founder, Page has Veto. Decision to operate Zep with, or without Plant, is Page's, his, and his alone.

Jimmy can do as he pleases with the Zeppelin name, and of course he's earned that right and was the reason they formed in the first place, got the contract they wanted, etcetera...but I wouldn't pay to see Page Jones and Bonham under that name.

I'd pay to see them, because they'd be great fun to see...just not under that name.

I've seen Zeppelin, the Firm, Robert with various bands, Jimmy solo...I'm ready in my ripe old age to see Zeppelin with Jason on drums...it'd be terrific.

I think Robert should just go ahead and have at it for a while, as everyone wants to see him do that. They love his diversity - always have, but we all want to see him play with his old friends, eh?

Thanks Fish! I thought I'd better poke my nose in here and see if there were like minded folks about.

I was just watching this one by the way of Alison Krauss and Robert doing Black Dog:

But this brings back memories of the show of his I saw in 1988. His version of Dimples by John Lee Hooker: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Tarnish the name??!!weird!!Is Jimmy Page himself not enough to be Zepp??He is Zepp!!and Zepp is Jimmy Page!!Robert could never be Zepp without Page!!don't forget the history!!Robert always tarnished Zep career with the death of his son,the car crash.....enough of Robert's dodgy ideas and his cheldishness!!i think seriousely he's emitating John Lennon say no to Zep because Krauss as Lennon said no to the Beatles because Ono!!Plant not sure of himself!he needs more and more publicity!!of course i like that Plant join zep for another gig!!but sorry if he wouldn't Zep are not finished because RP decision.
