Reakwon is one of the greatest emcee's ever! I just don't know if Raekwon's hardcore eastcoast lyrical style will go with Dr. Dre's west coast G-Funk hip hop style. Well I'm not going to judge it until I hear it because It might just soung good.

WU TANG FO LIFE!

Much respect to Dr. Dre.

Nap Town fo life.

this maybe what we've been waiting for.. a real hip hop artist on a commercial album.. dr.dre beats can't fail and with a seriously skilled mc on the mic it could be good for hip hop.

You obviously dont know rap, you just look at the gimmicks or whatever. I only judge MC's by their music. And Wu Tang never sold out, and have made great hip-hop both individually or collectively. Just cuz youre 15 & you like Lil' Wayne & all the other watered down, southern, bubble gum, party rap crap you dont know what hip-hop is apparently or you would never have made such a comment. Go buy Enter the Wu - 36 Chambers & tell me who has made a better rap album this decade? Wu Tang is the epitomy of 'real' hip-hop. Better go do your research youngster.

First of all, those are 90's records, I said this decade (2000-2007). Tupac & Nas did not sell out. Jay-Z sold out, Ludacris sold out. They never compromised their musical content for money. That is the defintion of selling out. Dude you are severely lost. Only built 4 cuban linx is a good album, not great. But Raekwon & Ghostface are both very good MC's & the beats are good too. Not many people would say Wu Tang Clan sucks, Tupac for one, said they were his favorite rap group of all-time.

Is a sell out only if they SUCCEED in getting paid for the song?

"I know I can" by Nas was an attempt, no question. EVERY rapper tries to get money...only some do.

Look I'm not saying Wu Tang Clan are the best MC's of all-time. I'm just saying that are a big part of hip-hop history & they have made a lot of music in the last 15 years. They have 3 decent MC's, one of which is ODB who is dead. And then they have 4 very good MC's: Raekwon, Inspektah Deck, Ghostface Killah, GZA. And then one great MC - Method Man. The only group from top to bottom who can be compared to them are NWA. I would say that sure MC Ren, Ice Cube & Eazy-E are better than any 3 MC's from Wu Tang, but that is the only group I would put above Wu Tang. And no Outkast is not as good as Wu Tang. You mention Kanye West, you seriously think he has the talent of Method Man? He has one of the illest flow I have ever heard, and a very good lyricist. I mean if you are like all the other teenagers of this generation, then you feel compelled to defend your generation. But lets face it, the best time in hip-hop was between 1987-1996, that 10 year period is where you will find the greatest MC's, the greatest albums, the greatest DJ's. After 1996 rap has been on a horrific slide.

Oky MCs-no see this is where the everlating argument of SKILLZ and a GOOD ALBUM come into play, yhea if meth and Kanye went at it meth would take him eazy-But they clearley like the album more-and eveing thoe this is my GEN-plus i live in the bay where all thi hyphie bull$hit is goin oon-i still relate wit the 88-97 time more, and haven skillz is nice but dat dont mean u got a good album and can throw up songz like dat-EXAMPLE-
1.Rakim is the best MC so how can enertain rap luvaz but he dont make albumz 4 tha masses
now 50 aint az hot az on tha mic lyrikaly but he can make u dance-so if i want a killa mc ill buy a mixtape but if i want a ablbum ill take Kanye,Jay,Fif,or eveing a postpostums pac album over those.

There you have it, yes if you want an album you can play at a club then sure 50 Cent, TI, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West are the way to go. But to me that is commercialized bubblegum & would never listen to it. This generation & the females like it, but if you like hip-hop in its purest, rawest form without all the commercialized, over produced, with cheesy hooks then this decade is basically garbage. I still say when YO! MTV Raps went off the air that was the demise of hip-hop, cuz it has surely not been the same since. A real, true MC is suppose to get on the mic & flow it with the veins popping out of his neck. These dudes today are either singingor barely awake. Like Lil' Wayne with his no personality. Being able to look back on it all, I feel lucky that I grew up on the music that I did.
