i so despise the pretense and snobbery of pitchfork i refuse to buy a ticket to their festival.

pitchfork fest rules:

sweater vests, skintight jeans, and absurd shoes are encouraged (just pretend it isn't 100 degrees and you'll be on your feet for 12hrs)

Scoff at others who appear to be too "into it" (head bobbing, excited clapping, singing, etc.)

clamour for shade during the larger, "over rated" and "popular" acts

yes! i hope more people are like you sam, that fest has always been way too crowded. stay at home and loathe everyone... i hear you get more indie cred points for skipping pitchfork anyway.

How the heck do you get any indie cred when Dinosaur Jr., Public Enemy, and Mission of Burma are the headliners? They should be playing at Lolla.

Greg must have a considerably different idea about what a "heavy hitter" is. This is a terribly dated line-up. If they don't add some bands that are currently active, currently innovative, etc., Pitchfork will show it's lowest returns yet on their festival. Quite disappointing.
