I'm not going to criticize, but just curious if you just arent a fan of Eric & Rakim, Public Enemy, Boogie Down Productions, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap? as they are all east coasters. They would account for about 6 or 7 of my top 20 east coast albums. You do have some classic albums there, but was just wondering.

Lemme let you know that you are nuts. Jay - Z is just plain RnB these days he don't count as real rap. Thats like trying to say Kid Cudi also does gangsta rap when Eazy - E does.

This is a difficult list for me but if I have to narrow it down to five:

Tupac-All Eyes On Me
Jay-Z- Blueprint Album 1
Dumbfoundead- Fun with Dumb. Don't sleep on Dumbfoundead; he will school 95% of the mainstream rappers.
Eminem- Relaspe and Recovery (tie) Dude can really kill now that he sobered up. He was a beast high. But now he is just surgical vicious.
Jin- The Rest is History
People say that he is overhyped, but he killed people in his 106 and Park/ Jumpoff days. It took Iron Soloman and Serius Jones to body him. Believe it or not, I think he has written some of the most heartfelt CDs next to 2Pac. Ruff Ryders just didn't know how to market an Asian kid. He was also the only one with enough gall to call on the whole rap beef thing. Remember kids, rap beefs= cash ;).

Honorable mention: Fort Minor (First CD), Illmaculate- The Green Room, DFD & Wax- Clockwise, Wu Tang Clan- Various CDs, Royce Da 5'9 and Eminem (When Bad Meets Evil), Krs-1 (All his CDs), Nas- All his CDs, Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff (Some of their CDs and Big Willie Style), Notorious B.I.G.(I liked his freestyles over his CD content usually), Immortal Technique, L.L. Cool Jay (Various), Beastie Boys (Various), if there is anyone I forgot, my apologies.
