OPINION: Pope's encyclical on business ethics is badly needed

I am a daily Mass Catholic, just so I am not accused of being anti catholic! The Pope should follow Jesus who said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God." Unfortunately the Pope, like so many foreigners has an anti American bias. After all he is only human and can't help the prejudices he acquired in life like all of us. I think if he dislikes us so much he should stop taking money from Americans. Since we are the cause of the world's financial ills, I think he should send our collections back to us as "blood money". After all even the temple priests refused to take back the tainted money from Judas. I think the Vatican should do the same.(Of course they will go bankrupt, but Jesus said they should travel without money in their pockets and depend on charity for their food and lodging.) Jesus told the rich young man to give all his money to the poor. The Vatican should also give all its money to the poor. Wouldn't that be quite an example to set for Americans. Let me know when the Pope practices what he preaches. I am a Catholic who listens to Jesus first and the Pope a distant 2nd. There are saints in the Catholic church I listen to because they are like Jesus. Most Popes are not like Jesus. A few do become saints, but not many. The jury is still out on this Pope but with his baggage, I doubt if he will ever be declared a saint.

I read the entire encyclical. It brings to mind the movie "The Omen" and the "Book of Revelations!" The Old and New Testaments foretell of a one-world government, economy and religion, under the rule of the Antichrist. These events will occur just before Jesus Christ returns to put down all earthly powers & set up His proper and rightful kingdom! Then, and only then, will we have true peace, justice and harmony.
