I'm as big a rock fan as any boomer, but I've never got into Bob. Songs are ok, singing is hard to take.

I did love it when the "Soy Bomb" guy jumped up on stage with him at the 1998 Grammy Show. Remember that weirdo dancing around the stage half naked with "SOY BOMB" painted on this chest? The look old Bob gave that guy was priceless!

dylan wrote an incredible number of very good songs. his voice was always rough. now it sounds like he has been gargling with hydrochloric acid. maybe he should stick to strumming and harmonica from here on in???

It's a simple concept. If you don't like the music, then don't listen to it. They have a right to create music and tour, it IS their profession afterall. Maybe when you reach a certain age at your job your boss should say to you "Go away for god's sake." This is America. If it's still a lucrative career for them then good for them.

Dylan is one of the last legends of music still alive. once he goes and the few others that still live from the greatest music generation ever music will officially be dead. The Rock and Roll hall of fame will be a joke after they are gone

solid article sun ... took you to the 4th paragraph to announce the date of the show, and it wasnt until the last line that you told us where it was going to be.

also good to see that global spectrum is off to a fast start ... so far 2 (Drake/Slayer) of the 4 shows played/announced since they took over 3 months ago were booked by SMG

The article also makes note of his conversion to Born-again Christianity which was a brief stint in the 70's. He reverted back to his Jewish roots in the 80's and went on record in'97' to say he never publically stated he was a born-again Christian. He summed it up in an interview as a period where he was doing lots of spiritual soul searching. The article makes it sound like he is actually a born-again christian.

Listen to his lyrics (granted you might have to google or read them on paper) and you will understand his greatness. His words will move you into different realms of thought , places you wouldn't dare visit on your own. Gates of Eden comes to mind . This guy has been through it all , the early 60's . Vietnam era , 70's cocaine daze , Reagan era , the Grateful Dead reignition in the late 80's ..all the way till today . He is a living relic that tells it like it is.

I thought prior to UMASS getting the underperforming arena everyone said you could not get big acts to come here. Now they can. It appears that we were duped.

what did that have to do with the date of the show, location, or arena management?

which big act has global spectrum got? godsmack? a home town band who has fallen off the face of the planet for the past few years? or dylan who is playing theaters and small arenas on his current tour and is definately not a big act. by far the biggest event in the arena since the UMASS acqusistion is Drake and that was booked well before UMASS took over.
