The NCL is a racist and elitist organization. It is reminiscent of the Old South and its barbeques and balls that catered to the plantation class. There is not one black, Asian or Latino face in the crowd. In order to join NCL, one must be sponsored by another white member; a responsible young lady of color who wants to serve the community is barred from joining.
