Way to rank out on INXS band members man.. Guess Gary Beers isn't much of a bass player- no energy. Those guys expected too much from you to try and sing when you work sick. Glad you found guys for your own band and are going strong.

First off, Michael nor the band INXS wrote all of the songs that they recorded. I wrote the songs Mystify, Devil Inside Suicide Blonde, Never Tear Us Apart, Mediate, and many more.

In 1983 after I met Michael he gave me the nickname "Tiger Lily" for the Peter Pan character. We were working on ideas for the script of "The Lost Boys" which INXS and friends provided songs for the soundtrack. I later worked on ideas for "Live Aid" attributed to Bob Geldof and Midge Ure. Midge knew Michael called me Tiger Lily and decided to claim that his band Ultravox was once named Tiger Lily.

I was also writing songs for Michael Jackson, "Thriller", who knew of the nickname that Hutch gave me. This is when he decided to name his ranch "Neverland".

Much of what you read in the press about entertainers is for publicity.

Looks good on you J.D. Drugs are for dopes. Want a tissue? Remember Oakville, and the persons you ripped off there. What comes around goes around. Maybe you can borrow some more money and not pay them back. You small dick bastard....

What a joke. Just like Paul Rogers, Brian May, Danny Miranda and whomever is on drums is a great band... they are not Queen. Daltrey + Townsend without Entwistle is still a great band, but NOT the WHO. I would have rather have seen the guys from INXS re-invent themselves with maybe even a female lead, but they are no longer INXS, just a band using the same name playing the same songs. It's almost sad. I'd rather see them in a new band, thinking MH is somewhere looking down smiling than seeing them imitate what once was.

And for those that think they actually "picked" the current guy via that show... get real. There was a spoiler site that was posting the press photos of the new band weeks before the show ended. Sure I guess they did pick him, but it was done early on. Once they got to the last six or so... it was all about entertainment and getting those who had talent into new contracts and such to help their individual careers.

Not that any of that is a bad thing... but was just surprised that with all the talent available in the world, they ended up with an Elvis impersonator, and not a very good one at that.
no way

Former INXS frontman JD Fortune releases statement as newest band splits

Well, it looks as though things may not be going as well for JD Fortune as one might’ve thought as he’s just announced the split of his newest group of bandmates, appropriately taking the title of his surname, FORTUNE.

In a statement, the former INXS frontman writes:“Unfortunately, the band “FORTUNE” is unable to continue moving forward. I love everyone in the band but outside forces mean starting from scratch. Distance, money mean more distance and money. Considering I haven’t asked for a dime for the last 12 months of music and songs that we all enjoy, some forces have deemed that “bad business”. But I’m not a business person. Since I was 5 years old I’ve only wanted to sing. Despite that, I will find a way to sing for you again. God bless the members of the band. In the end, it’s about what you’re willing to give. I hope I’ve been giving it everything to make things work. If it’s not enough, so be it. But it’s the only “give” I now how to give. Thank you all for being here. Without you all these tweets are only read by my parole officer. That being said…I will always have the backs of Luther, PJ, Matt, Andrew, Tasha, Melissa and Alison. They are truly exceptional and brilliant artists! I have faith in you as you in me. Hey… it’s only rock n roll… but I like it.”

If they wanted a "new guy," THEN CREATE A NEW BAND, in name, lyrics and all in-between! Of course we all want to hear INXS so Gs performed live- KIRK's a GREAT SINGER...he could lend lead vocals to many INXS sings....of course NOBODY sings like Hutch- but KIRK's voice is great, and is genuine INXS. JD Fortune was ridiculous as a "Hutch Replacement.". Anyone would be. Fragile egos need mending- TIM - otherwise QUIT, you hypercritical bastard.
