"From April to June, losses were $2.1 billion more than during the same period in 2011."
It is because the workers treat their customers LIKE $HIT.
I have made a concerted effort to use FEDEX-UPS-ANYONE ELSE besides the United States PRICK Service for the way they have treated (and continue) to treat me.
God I'd love to see the looks on their faces when they go to the unemployment office BEFORE they get to retire....
Hope those checks in the mail are LATE or never arrive.
Just like THEY DID to me.

No. You really want to know why the POst office is in straights?
It is by design.
The congress passed a law requiring the post office to pre-fund 75 years of retiree health benefits over the course of 10 years.
No other agency or even business is required to do such.
Given the privatization schemes sweeping the country, it is my firm belief that it is by design and a blatant attempt to bankrupt the posts office.
Before that was passed by the congress,
the post office actually was doing just fine financially,
and in fact had a surplus of monies.
So there are my opinions,
on top of the facts.
I can come up with no other reason why such a burden would be placed on the post office.
