I don't know about everyone else but I love having religion shoved down my throat.

No-one's forcing anyone to read it anymore than anyone forces you to read any other advertisements sent out.

Look everyone in America knows about Jesus and God and all that good stuff. If people want religion they go to church or will seek out their Jesus freak friend. We don't need you people putting religous symbols/books/whatever at our doorstep.

You christians would be up in arms if some organization would send out Korans to everyone.

Although I don't have to read it, I still have to throw it away and look at the cover while doing so.

Replace "Bible" with "Koran" and see how that flies.

Why doesn't it surprise me that Christians would come up with an idea like this? Or that they don't see what everyone is so upset about? Not to mention the wasted trees!

As a Christian, I believe this is a wonderful idea and I support it. If a Koran was sent, I'd look at that too-- there are some stories that are quite similar. The Bible is the most popular and most widely read book in the world. It is the Word of Life. No problem with it here.

For a long time religion in this country is just a business...used and abused by many. no surprise here. soon we will look like a christian version of Iran.

I object to receiving a bible (or parts of a bible) with my newspaper. And yes, Mr. Tolleson, I object to receiving oatmeal, detergent & anything from AOL with my newspaper.

For all of you who don't like having Christianity "shoved down your throats"--we are truly sorry and apologize for you taking offense. We're simply doing what God commanded us to do in order that you can know peace, know love, and know God. If you cannot accept that--then there is a place called hell, where I'm sure you'll fit right in. Our message simply throws a parachute to those who are in a total free-fall (and that's everyone not born again in Christ) so they might be saved. The only one you hurt by throwing it back is yourselves.
If someone wants to know of God's message then they can seek it out for themselves. And if they choose not to, that's their right, just as it's yours to believe.

Just because you think you're right, it doesn't make you right!
