I have a one of a kind (Bear only made a few of these at most) it's a Platinum Medallion piece. It's 25mm .999 Platinum. Bear was asking $18,000 for it when he made it.
I'm willing to part with it for the right person and price.

Are all the Owsley Stanley SYF buckles you see on ebay etc original, or are they just from the original molds and not necessarily made by Owsley? They seem to all be selling for $1500+. How can you tell if its authentic, and what does that really mean?

You will know it's authentic if you buy it from the family through Bear's website thebear.org ---it will come with a certificate of authenticity.

it was a gift to my dad who used to hang out with Zero and steve kimmock who played with the dead a bit. so it was gifted through direct connections with the dead. we are selling it because we have fallen on hard times and need to get as much as possible, potentially life threatening situation.

The fact that you claim it was made for you is fraudulent by any means, as every single one of the silver and bronze editions to date have all been stamped from the very same machines. None being any more special nor different from the others. Back stories are also always false and merely that of one wantng status as they have not found a completeness of oneself as of yet. The only buckles which Bear actually MADE personally were those which were made of GOLD as even the silver ones were commissioned. Shame you claim DEADICATION. If you insist on telling lies, I suggest you do more research as to make them even remotely believable rather than obvious misdirection of a misguided soul who is not only at the wrong stop; but completely missed the bus aling with it's purpose.

I'm extremely interested in purchasing one of Bear's silver belt buckles. I was given the opportunity back in 1988 and I didn't buy it as a young man I couldn't afford it. I would have to say my only life regret. Starfinder if you could help me out I would be truely thankful. Thank you Lee

Hello, I began in 1991 as Bear's North American "rep" for his sculpture and buckles. We met when I was working the Greenpeace table on tour. Since his death last year, I now work with his family (his widow and his son) and usually have some buckles in my inventory available for purchase (unless new ones are in the process of being cast).[Sculpture is not currently available for purchase.] For additional info, please email me at "[email protected] " I have spam protection that will notify you about the need for an Allowed Sender Request if you are not in my address book. Please only serious inquiries. Thanks.

Yup! Completely! One must be earned and gifted to you by Fam Fam! It's not the kind of club you buy your membership into... MUST be earned AND deserved.

Took me 21 years to get gifted my authentic '83 bronze stealie buckle. Came direct from an old schooler in a copenhagen tin signed by bear. Emotional day for me... and it makes me feel 25 feet tall!
Actually anybody can by them. Always could
Still can. All say same date and signed
Made by the same foundry since 83 -
The family Gigis a nice thought but it's just not true - the most abused word on the lot
