Bear (Owsley Stanley) has a website:

thebear.org

My hubby has an old Owsley belt buckle, long ago it broke and it's hanging on the wall. It was made of pewter or something, a skull and roses. He got so many compliments on it!

I'm hoping I can send Bear a note and buy him a new one!

Its true you can order them from Owsley himself but they are like the 90's buckles, not the "real" 80's buckles, my boy got a sun buckle for x-mas

There is a link to email him on the "bears art pages" site I bought two steal ur face from him about a year and a half ago. You have to wire transfer the $ to his bank acct. in australia which seems sketchy but from my experience is on the up up cuz my friend and I wear them proudly everyday. They have the 83 on the back but were new so I assume thats when the mold was cast. Email him and he's usually prompt to reply with the prices. The bronze syf was $700 last i checked. good luck

Can i still get these belt buckles I've wanted one for 20 years and can finally afford one. My buddy used to sell them $400. It's a piece of history should have bought one then.

investigating possible extraction of dmt from hostilis bark,i have never tried dmt,but have taken approximately 150 acid trips, ketamine, mushies, pcp, etc .grew up in the 70s and 80s,when it all got alittle crazy, got sidetracked for a few years, but have given up everything including alcohol, and have came full circle into not simply getting high, there has to be some kind of meaning to it all, there is a reason for my mind to tell me that i want to explore the space inside of my head, while others are simply satisfyed with a nine to five,it has always been with me,my mother even says that i used to spin around till i fell down, when i was a small child, iam 43 yrs old now,and the basics are taken care of,a house,a car, even insurance,ha ,ha,never thought i would say that.so the details are taken care of,so i can now consontrate on a what i really want to do,which is be a shaman, anyway enough for now, peace out.jack straw from wichita(kansas).

I am holding a buckle that is for sale. Number 6 of 22. We are working on having it authenticated. It was a part of a collection of memorabilia from an old merry prankster and artist. From my research these buckles came in Brass, Silver and Gold. My friends sold the Brass one, and are looking to sell the Silver in order to survive and pay a couple debts. As soon as we find out its Value we will be posting it. Really would love it to go to someone who cares about it for its historical and artistic value.

I think my friends just sold a Brass steel your face buckle for $500.00- though some have sold for $800 or more. Bears site also has been referred to me to research the silver one (6 of 22- but it has a turquoise and twisted silver edging I have not seen on other buckles) which I am also trying to sell for them. I want to authenticate it first- dont want any bad Karma for tryin to help a couple of sisters in need of food and shelter for the winter. It may be Jon Exworthy "embellished" the one he had. That's my theory. Hoping to make contacts needed to see if this is the case.

The Brass, Silver and Gold SYF buckles originally sold at pretty high prices if you look into it.(Never thought Id research Dead Memorabilia this much. I am getting an education!) Now they are collectors items. And, most of the dead do still play together on occasion.
