Yeah its not the same crowd as it used to be with the Grateful Dead. Some of the music is unlistenable, as well. Add in the absurd ticket price and its all not very appealing.

One year I paid my $ 75 and suffered ratdog, which was the worst shat I've ever heard- and the group was made of some former dead bandmembers. It had rained hard, there was like 100% humidity, and totally drugged-out kids were flinging mud and sod at each other and diving in mud puddles. Passing by the port-a-potties was so revolting I actually left the concert!

I heard that this is the last year for the Vibes being at Seaside. Did anyone else hear that?

They signed a 5 year contract in 2008, so this should be the last year.

I went one year, same thing-the humidity was God awful, huge thunderstorm, cops's wifes smoking pot. They had straw all over the field because of the mud and God did it stink. And Wavey Gravey couldn't string two words together.

But on the positive at least the rain held off until Crosby, Still and Nash were done. I would have loved to seen Elvis Costello last year.

And the womens Port a Potty was very clean, had a/c and didn't smell.

Yes. If I liked the bands. It's def a cool show. BUT I would never never never bring a child there, just way too much pot smoking going on, perfect for me :), but not a child.

If anything is held outside in this heat they are crazy, and to bring kids if it's hot they should be arrested.

Very true, Ava. Really hot in Connecticut. Tippy is being cool off by a fan in our bedroom.
