Quote from above article.
"With Jimmy Tebeau, Grateful Dead bassist led the band in two sets of vigorous jams at the Granada last night, including a number of popular Dead songs that the audience asked for as the concert rocked on".
When was Jimmy in the Dead. I like the guy but come on! I bet Phil would have something to say about that!

he is the bassist of JGB (jerry garcia band). and if my history is correct Jerry died in 95- so for the sake of debate that's not really the Jerry Garcia Band anymore but it's advertised that way. What's left of the Grateful Dead, and musicians in the dead family play their songs, and those that play music with the remaining members of the dead are The Dead, there are so many formations since Jerry Died.
steve kimock, mark karan, the allman brothers, warren haynes, keller williams, ziggy marley, and many more, none of them performed with the original grateful dead, however they do perform with the remaining members of the grateful dead, who are still alive. steve kimock, mark karan, stu allen, keller williams, michael kang, scott law, and many more have performed with the schwag over the years. so sorry you're opinion is unwarranted.
BOB DYLAN performed with the original lineup of the grateful dead, however never hired as a full time position due to PHIL not liking him and drinking was a problem, back then. He does not advertise himself as Grateful Dead Guitarist, and neither does anyone mentioned in this paragraph. Those who know, know. Those who don't make assumptions based on what they hear from "friends". Sounds like you must be someone that explains Phish music as being just like The Grateful Dead but never went to see either perform in concert.

So he was in the Grateful Dead then? After Jerry died the Grateful Dead never played again. That is a fact. They did play some shows as the Dead! Never the Grateful Dead! I saw the Grateful Dead a hundred times! Not trying to put your article down just adjusting your facts. It should have stated in your own words from above "the dead family".
It's not my opinion it is a fact of the universe so your article was faulty. So sorry but I wasn't trying to hurt your pride.
If everyone who ever was on stage with the GRATEFUL Dead was considered a member he still wouldn't be considered a member!
