I think so. That is a LOT of money in these hard times. Plus,$600k+ to put it all on a website???

As usual, the Sentinel wrote a story saying wow great groovy the whole time without asking a single strong question.

People will build the website therefore earning money. Jobs will be created because of the grant.

From an IT standpoint, that is a ridiculous amount of money. And jobs created? for what a few weeks while the site is constructed? That's not long term, thinking. A very small solution, for a very large problem. Honestly, all that money for a bunch of Dead Heads... What a waste...

I was worried there, for a moment. Though it took very little time for the "this is a waste of OUR/MY money" crowd, to react to such a meager expense, in the overall scheme of things. My mind is at rest, now
Perhaps the Sentinel can do a story regarding the other grants and the content of the other grantees. In an effort to ease the pain of the shrill masses.

Jerry Garcia once told me that to play the blues you had to be able to sing. I always laughed, when I heard the Dead because ... no one in the band could - or can - sing. Can't these multi-millonaires fund their own e-Legend instead of depended on the Public Trough?
