My Children Caleb and Kia Shah were evacuees in Coal House At War, They really enjoyed the experience and have learnt from it. They found it hard however staying with people they had only met once, they lived life as it would have been in 1944 as an evacuee, the only means of communication was via letters they stayed there for 13 day and i am very proud of them both. They were treated like part of the family and made to feel very welcome by the Tranter Davies. They feel very priviledge to have taken part in this documentary.
