It is my understanding that to be able to vote in a primary, you have to be registered as a Republican or Democrat. By registering as an Independent we would lose the opportunity to vote in the primary. I'm 100% for having a 3rd or 4th party choice.

It occurred to me that with 40% of the people not paying taxes we have representation, lousy as it is, without taxation. One unemployed, non tax paying, dope slinging, Acorn multiple registered moron in a Buick Roadmaster can out vote me.

Here goes a little (protest) of my own, all you tea baggers.
Mr. Obama came into office a little less than 100 days ago. When he arrived in office, NOT to his surprise was a TEN & ONE HALF TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT. He also discovered, once again, NOT to his surprise a big business,(oil, banking, insurance, etc.,etc.) completely out of, literally control. Most of the regulation placed on business had been lifted in favor of the big boys trickle down on us little boys theory. Greed is good, was the motto! The auto industry was given the green light to produce, for the most part, high profit JUNK. Not really any regulation advances on EPA and MPG.
People were allowed to purchase homes way out of their affordable range. Credit card companies were sending those new home owners thousands of dollars worth of credit. Hey, a kid in a candy store???
I believe some of you may get my point here!!!!
So, give the PRESIDENT OF OUR COUNTRY A CHANCE. All of you protesting Mr. Obama. Where were you when Mr. Bush was sticking us in the hole we're trying to dig out of?

The stimulus bill was a big chance, for the "change" Pres. Obama preached about, there was none. It was passed without anyone having the chance to read it. It made concessions for wasting more money...that is not change. That is indeed more of the same that I have come to expect from those in Washington D.C. He wasn't forced to sign the stimulus bill by the Republicans, to get a few things through that he wanted. He helped with the fear mongering that this bill "had to be passed".
I'm all for term limits and the line item veto.

Here we go again.. Your post is obviously one made after watching the news. I can say that because you think this is about Obama. Well, the Tea Parties were not about him. That is the b/s that the Liberal media put out there for people to downplay the REAL reasons for the parties and to turn this into a Rep./Dem. bash fest.
I would say, you need to go to a Tea Party website and really get informed. And don't just read one or two posts. Yes, there are Reps. on there (Oh dear!) BUT there are also Dems and lots of Independents. Everyone is voicing their views and angry at the current and PAST administrations.
To argue well THEY did this and THEY did that is fruitless. THEY ALL ARE TO BLAME.
So in summary and the fastest way I can explain, contrary to what the Liberal media wants everyone to think, we are not out for just Obama but for Congress and the Senate-ALL of them. The current administrations spending has caused this to come to a head because of the outrageous spending that they are currently doing, none of us deny it hasn't been this way for years and years. We are just NOW trying to get people to wake up and stop it! Hopefully this sheds a little light on the Tea Parties and such. There are more demonstrations to come.
FOOTNOTE: The websites give links to certain news where issues are brought to the forefront and then discussed by all. The news comes from alot of media outlets. It's not always the news the media covers as a top story but the little stories that get buried.

I gave Obama a chance. He had the chance to stop sending our money to foreign countries that hate America, he didn't. He had the chance to say nationalizing the banking and automobile industries was wrong and he didn't.
He had the chance to to prove he is a natural born citizen and he didn't. The a person who has the power to right a wrong but does nothing is a complete failure.
Obama may be your president but he ain't mine. No more chances. The Revolution is now.

Because your post sounds very biased just against Bush, I must also point out to you that Acorn, a Liberal Democratic organization, is responsible for alot of this problem.

"People were allowed to purchase homes way out of their affordable range."

It is widely known that they went into banks and FORCED them to lend or otherwise be sued. This Acorn is also known to sign up bogus people to vote and intimidate at the voting places. I am not totally convinced Obama really won the election, but if he was voted in, his policy of CHANGE sure has been that. He is running our country into the ground and his changes are a threat to our National security and our ranking as the most powerful country in the world.
This administration reminds me of a bunch of thugs getting elected and then hurriedly doing as much change and damage as they can do before they get busted and thrown out.

So tell us Mr. Idiot, how do you think this revolution you speak of will be initiated? With your 2nd amendment rights? Maybe you could run the country after your revolution! Yeah!! You can be our president.
Please be so kind and show us the proof of these ridiculous claims you make.

There is a family man, an Independent, in Michigan. He is fed up with the Goverment. He decided to attend a Tea Party and he put bumper stickers on his car. They read as such:#1. "Questioning Obama is the highest form of patriotism.",#2, "TaxDay Tea Parties on April 15.#3, "Impeach Obama"
While he was a local gas station, a State trooper came out of the store and saw his stickers and ordered him against the car, patted him down. He told the man he MUST take the stickers off his car or be arrested for RACISM and go to jail! The man complied and tore off the stickers.(the gas station owner has provided the man with the video from the incident)
He wrote his local Senator and contacted the media. None of the media would run the story and he received a NASTY letter back from the Senator.
The AFL-CIO has filed a lawsuit against him for RACIAL INTIMIDATION! He also started getting threatening phone calls from the UAW threatening to KILL HIM AND HIS FAMILY.
The Senator went on the news and said it was RADICALS like him that were trying to destroy our nation's freedoms and that the Tea Party goers were RADICAL TERRORISTS!
This man has an attorney, and they are suing the State of Michigan. The police officer is currently on paid leave. The UAW and the AFL-CIO want him to drop his lawsuit or they have threatened he will never work anywhere again.
Just the other day a couple OF UAW guys showed up at his door and demanded he drop the lawsuit, when he said no, they grabbed his 5 year old daughter and tried to pull her out the door.
The FBI is now involved because of the attempted kidnapping and a man has been arrested and admitted the crime and vows to give up the names of the other men that FORCED him to do it.

The lawsuit continues. This happened this past week.
My point. Each and everyone of us are at risk of losing out right to FREE SPEECH and to speak out against those in Goverment that feel they are the RULERS of us all. This is just another reason we need to stand up and not let BIG BROTHER take our freedoms away! When you can't put a bumper sticker on your car and exercise your freedoms, there is something SERIOUSLY WRONG with our country.

I am an equal opportunity griper. I've been griping about taxation and spending through the last 5 presidents. I was watching Sean Hannity's program from Atlanta and I enjoyed it until Newt Gingrich came on talking about the politicians who won't cut spending and use our tax dollars to stay in power. . . . . .blah, blah, blah. I like Newt well enough but I think it was transparent, at least to me, that Newt, as speaker of the house for how many years, had a chance to do all that and didn't. I don't think I would have had him as a guest. I mean, how many of us would ever in our life time get the opportunity he had and blow it and then have the nads to tell us how it should be done.

The REAL reason for the TEA PARTY!
East India Tea Company & English War Ships were "THE COMPANY STORE"! Paul Revere read this I'm sure!

"Their Conduct in Asia, for some Years past, has given simple Proof, how little they regard the Laws of Nations, the Rights, Liberties, or Lives of Men. They have levied War, excited Rebellions, dethroned lawful Princes, and sacrificed Millions for the Sake of Gain. The Revenues of Mighty Kingdoms have entered their Coffers. And these not being sufficient to glut their Avarice, they have, by the most unparalleled Barbarities, Extortions, and Monopolies, stripped the miserable Inhabitants of their Property, and reduced whole Provinces to Indigence and Ruin. Fifteen hundred Thousands, it is said, perished by Famine in one Year, not because the Earth denied its Fruits; but [because] this Company and their Servants engulfed all the Necessaries of Life, and set them at so high a Price that the poor could not purchase them."

During Herbert Hoovers administration thousands of Americans were jailed for speaking out. If you don't think it can happen in this country under this tattered constitution, you better grab the reins. I watched a video last night of the police out in Orange County, California handcuff a documentary film maker because he did a documentary film about media bias and then had the nerve to show up to a media awards ceremony. He didn't go in the building, he didn't block the door way, he was on a public sidewalk out in front of the venue. Roughed up and handcuffed. A cautionary lesson to all journalists that don't follow the liberal media play card.

1. People who make far less than 250K per year, whose tax rates will be cut, spent Wednesday out in public demanding that Obama stop increasing their taxes. They proudly marched and defiantly yelled and etc., etc., insisting with waved signs and shaken fists on their opposition to something that is not the case. They have made it their business to prevent something from happening that was never going to happen in the first place--and they mean it!

2. These same people, whose economic and physical well-being are a matter of supreme indifference to the richest families in America, have been persuaded to insist on policies that will only benefit the richest families in America. There is a term for these people, and it isn't "right-wing" or "conservative" or "patriotic" or even "Republicans." The term is "sucker." These people are suckers. They have been tricked and manipulated into working against their own interests and for the interests of people who could literally not care less about them. Their patron saint isn't Barry Goldwater or Thomas Paine or Ronald Reagan or Jesus H. Christ. It's P.T. Barnum.

3. People who would be forced into bankruptcy by an attack of appendicitis, who have no idea what "socialism" is or how it differs from "communism" or "fascism," were to be seen Wednesday out in force, self-righteously pissed off and calling Obama a socialist, a communist, and a fascist, often interchangeably. And what are their ideas about how to deal with the worst economic crisis in eighty years? "Let them go bankrupt!" Ignorance and indignation: it doesn't get any more American than that. Each of them--proud, free, unafraid to speak stupidity to power--is like a homeowner whose house is on fire and yet who refuses to let the fire fighters turn a hose on the flames because "it'll get my stuff all wet." And when the fire chief ventures the suggestion that the fire is a) going to destroy their stuff anyway, and then b) spread to other homes, he gets shut down with such wised-up, common-man arguments as, "I pay your salary!"

Mr. Good times - you really have not done your research now have you? If so please answer this:

1: You say we had 10 trillion in debt when purple lips stepped in, after all of his bailouts how much is it to now?

2. You say greed made the auto industries spin out of control. You may be right. But it is completely fine for them to dig themselves in a hole- that is the joy of capitalism. The second part of it is to let them fail if they dig a hole that deep - dont nationalize them. In free enterprise, you play you pay. So tell me when they reached that bottom what did mr. purple chow lips do then? Did it have to do with more debt?

3. So if you love him so much tell me one great thing he has done so far? Watch the stock market crash everytime he came on tv? Put us in record debt? Make promises about getting out of that debt that he could never possibly acheive? Buy a cute dog? Say that americans are arrogant? He is doing great, you are right.
