I can't believe tickets are still available. I thought everyone from Marion County would have dropped the $250 by now.

I would like to see both concerts, but $250? They are out of their minds! Add on top of that about $50 a person for a one day pass? The park is smaller then Broadway at the Beach! I give them 2 years and they are out of business!

According to the article you replied to:

"....Tickets, available online and at the entrance gate of the park, cost $250, which includes both shows, park admission and souvenirs..."

From what I understand there's a couple of free drinks and free food included in the ticket price. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

For $250 a ticket it had better be free filet mignon AND all the champagne you can drink.

As much as I like HRP and support the place on these boards, but I'll have to admit, it's a bummer that they will not honor annual pass holders. My family has passes, and would like to have been part of today and tomorrow's events.

... Amen to that!
I like good music and entertainment just like anyone else but 250 dollars can get me 2 day passes to Carrowinds, a nice dinner and Best of CD's for both the Moody Blues & the Eagles.

I don't need bragging rights to say "I was first" they've had the park open (albeit a soft opening) for weeks now ... and I can still listen to those CDs the next day.

Times are tight and it's about getting the best value you can for your dollar. HRP just isn't getting it. I hope for their sakes they do. In 5 years I would like to not have to look over that side of 501 & see another concrete wasteland.

It is because of Burroughs and Chapins involvement. They moved some of the rides to Broadway and I heard they were $3 a ride.

ONLY THE MYRTLE BEACH ELITE WILL BE THERE, BESIDES MOST OF US WORK TO MAKE THAT $250-$500 THIS WEEK. OBVIOUSLY THE SUITS AT HARD ROCK ARE NOT FEELIN THE RECESSION STRINGS PULLING AT THEM. THANKS FOR THE DEAL HR.

As a season pass holder, we should at least be offered a $100 discount on tickets-aka the two day pass to the park. I would consider going for $150 for both of those concerts.

Well... from wikipedia...

"Broadway at the Beach is a shopping center located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Since its inception in 1996, it has grown to be one of Myrtle Beach's premier shopping destinations. The site is built upon 350 acres, which includes 3 hotels, 11 nightclubs, 20 restaurants, 15 attractions, and over 100 specialty stores, all surrounding a 23-acre lake created from the drainage of the former Withers Swamp."

There isn't much that's bigger than that. Most Six Flags are smaller than 350 acres. I looked.

That would be a reasonable price for the entire deal without a season pass. The season pass holders (which I am not one) should get a deeper deal than than that. Afterall its you guys who have committed to supporting the park up front and all year in good or bad economy. I did a deal some years back with my company and the House of Blues and they puleed the same crap on me. We had tickets to give away through my business for concerts, but i found out when the big names came, it did not apply. Thats the problem with "BIG BUSINESS" coming to Myrtle Beach, they want your support, but they are very reluctant to give it back unless they receive some press for it. SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES, they are the ones who really appreciate it and give the better deals.

I understand that is the case too.

I just did a little research, apparently the Eagles are expensive to see. For good seats in Boston on 7/28, that'll run you $185 a ticket. And that's without the possibilities of rides and amusements. You get two days admission, so that's worth $100. And there isn't a bad seat at their stage, you can even see and hear the bands from their diner, so I'm going with the $185.
$185 +$100 =$285. You're already saving $35. On top of that, you get free food and drinks, free coffee and desert, a photo (hey, I don't get them, but they do cost money), some souveniers, and a second concert, the Moody Blues, which unfortunately I'm not able to find out ticket prices. So for all that,$125 a night is pretty good for a high end act. And yes, I have paid either that much, or close to that, just to see some band.

Also, I do know there were many people flying in for the Hard Rock over the weekend. Not your average everyday family, more like investors and business types. I'm thinking this isn't meant to be an event for the public, but something to show off to investors, corporate people, that sort of thing, and yeah, you can go to, for the price.

Nick, even $185 is a bit steep, but ok point made, but remember the food and drink aint free, remember its part of the price. Nothing in this deal is free. Its included and its expensive. HRP stockholder, nice. Funny stuff.
