She has a right to her opinion as we still have a right to free speech in this country. If that's how she feels then that's her business and no one has a right to tell her she's wrong for how she feels.

Natalie Maines needs to keep her big mouth shut so her ignorance wont show so much. I hope the Chicks never make is big again until Natalie is out of the band. Sometimes you have to know how to keep your stupid opinions to yourself.

I love Toby Keith and the Dixie chicks and in todays music scene no one artist can be tied to one genre. The "war" between these two artists can be compaired to Biggie vs. Tupac - Lynyrd Skynyrd Vs. Neil young - Eminem Vs. Moby----- All it does is draw attention and increases record and ticket sales for BOTH artists.
So long as we all keep it non violent, everyone wins especially the record labels and PR people.

Good reply..like it. Lynyrd Skynyrd later became good friends with Neil...so oone day the Chicks and Toby will meet again and agree to disagree..

Honey, do your parents know you gave your address out on line? That's very dangerous to do. There are bad people on the internet. Please, please don't do that again.

I'm hoping that was a prank, but I don't know. I keep my computer out in the dining room/office where I can see what my 12 year old son is doing and I've drilled it into his head to never go to chat rooms, never talk to anyone he doesn't know, and never enter his name or address anywhere without my permission! Scary!!

Now let me get this straight. Natalie Maimes states her opinion in a supposedly free country and is considered a traitor. The phony pseudo patriot Toby Keith tours with the draft dodgin' coward Ted Nugent who admitted in an interview with the Detroit Free Press (July 15, 1990)of urinating and defecating in his pants to avoid serving his country during Vietnam. Keith who asked the coward Nugent to tour with him, shoved him in the faces of bereaved family members who lost loved ones in the Iraq war. They're both making blood money off of the suffering of veterans. Natalie Maimes opinions don't compare to the hypocrisy of Keith and the coward Nugent.

i like toby keiths music and i like the dixie chicks music. i dont agree with eithers view of current politics. i believe george w bush is a p*ssy who was too scared to fight in the war and his grandfather gave money to hitler so i have to wonder if the apple falls far from the tree. i completetly agree with maimes view of bush but she is only ashamed. it is obvious she was against the war, as many of us are, because of the innocent lives who were going to be taken and she obviously held george bush responsible. but for some reason some people would have us believe she was best buds with the bin ladens, but we all know who really was all along. as for me i think the man should be impeached for lying in office (proven many times) and to the american people and should be made to testify before a live televised hearing. keith makes damn good music but is too blinded by "patriotism" or nationalism i like to call it to see that he is actually on the wrong side, as is anyone who supports george w bush. i dont think he or anyone else is stupid i just think they believe they are backing the right person or just hate democrats so much that they will support any republican no matter how evil he is. i also believe if a democratic president had done the same things GW had dont these people would be putting him under immense scrutiny. i dont believe g w had anyting to do with 9/11 but it doesnt matter because the way he capitalized and used the american people as cannon fodder was a heinous enough crime in and of itself. i dont believe he will be punished and he will leave office with the american people to clean up his mess. and i dont think that celebrities criticising him will hurt his reputation, he is hurting his reputation fine on his own. i only wish toby keith would have got a little of willies sensibility. if toby keith actually thinks maimes is a terrorists or hates america i hope he will have the will not to be friends with her, but i dont think he actually believes this.

I'm not a fan of the Dixie Chicks, not even sure if I've even heard any of their songs, but bashing Bush is in no way ignorant nor stupid. Bush is a lousy president and deserves to be publicly bashed by everyone. Yes, sometimes you need to know when to keep your stupid opinions to yourself, but Bush keeps telling his stupid opinions.

I think that the music and hollywood business should keep to just that...Music and Movies, and STAY out of politics. Have their opinion but don't use the screen or the stage to voice it!!

And that's not taking away from their Free Speech.

The last time i heard the United States of America is a free nation and everybody has the right to their own opinion so what's the big deal? I admired Natalie Maimes for what she did and for all her critics i feel sorry for them coz they're the ones that cant handle the truth...

Oh drop it with the 'she didn't say it in america' whining. As i will continue to point out she said it in the UK. We are in this war (completely against the wishes of the majority of our country) because your idiot of a president has our idiot of a PM under the thumb. At the end of the day we have as much to say about Bush as any American and since we are as involved in this rificulous war as you are there was not a thing wrong in her saying what she did here.
