Good Day, We attended the concert on both Fri and Sat. We came from Fredercicton and stayed in Dartmouth. For the most part we really enjoyed the concert and the fine hospitality as always in Halifax. Here are a few comments:
The only good performances we heard were Johnny Reid, George Canyon and lonestar.
Kevin costner was pathetic.
Alan Jackson didn't even know where he was! He thought that he was still somwhere in the USA!
The security at the check-in was completely disrespectful. One guy grabbed my hat off of my head, apparently to check the inside without asking first. I told him to keep his GD hands off of my property.
The same guy opened all three of our (just bought) water bottles shook them and put his filthy face near them to smell them I guess. Again I told him to keep his filthy hands off of our water bottles. Then he dropped two of the caps on the ground in the mud, picked them up and put them back on. By
now I pretty much had it with this ignorant treatment. You see he could have done what he needed to do by asking and not touching my possessions. If he had done one more thing like that I would have retaliated to the level as appropriate.
The last point was that someone in all of their planning wisdom had the foresight to close the MacDonald Bridge from Fri night at 8:00 thru the rest of the weekend! What a mess thaat caused trying to get ther from Dartmouth.
Finally. We had just excellent views from the area just outside the "Exec VIP" tents. It was quite an annoyance to see those pompous fools drinking and eating in their corral, which was "OFF LIMITS" to the rest of us. What was particularly annoying was seeing thes same fools freely strolling out from their corral into the crowd of common folks. They should have been forced to stay in their playpen.
