Lady why don't you and Melinda just go to New Hampshire and open a Bed and Breakfast together? She was bad last night as was everyone else.
The only bright spot of the whole evening was when Ryan beatboxed a little bit.

Lani Pie - It's hard to understand you with that Krispy Kreme in your mouth - did you say you liked greasy stuff?

I totally agreed with Simon's pagent comment to Jordin on the last song. All that was missing was her saying she really wants world peace.

Ok - here's my take:

Melinda: Inside and Out - Tough song. I think she did well with it though. She worked the stage and the audience well...

How Can You Mend a Broken Heart - Shaky in the beginning - but ended strong....should be safe

Blake: You Should Be Dancing - Many of you will be surprised - I thought it was a great performance - the beatbox thing works well with the disco genre...(I think the judges were way too hard on him...)

This is Where I Come In - It wasn't a hit back in the day because it's a crappy song...terrible choice - that might put him in the bottom two...

Kiki: Stayin' Alive - Obviously a bad choice...Wasn't impressed at all (but really - who else can sing that song but the BG's...)

Run to Me - GREAT finish - don't know if it will be enough to stay...

Jordin: To Love Somebody - Standing ovation! Clay sang that song in Season Two - Jordin sang it better...

Woman in Love - We have found our next Idol!(WTF?- the judges were way wrong on this one...)

Bottom Two: Blake and Kiki

Should go home: Lakisha is a better singer than Blake - so Blake...

Will go home: Kiki...

Great comeback.

Nice to know those 6 years of college weren't wasted on you.

I look forward to watching on Sunday Nanc. You are always on the ball and no doubt (though Gwen was weeks ago :)) will be again.

Hard to choose between Melinda and Jordon. Melinda has shown her personality can be dug out, where as Jordan has shown she can sing well and badly too.

I think Melinda deserves a shot at the big time. Great person, great voice and infectious smile. Jordan will have her day soon too.

Disco proved to be downfall for the American Idol Final 4. Looks to be like Blake and Lakisha are vulnerable tonight. However Lakisha will be going home, IMHO

Nanc, super review. I love the BeeGees and this was not a good week, at all. If fact, you might have been too kind with your points. :)

Mandisa, now LaKisha (who is a hers, not his), you just appear to have it out for bigger black women. It's become very obvious. You might should check yourself on this one.

I think it will come down to Melinda and Jordan. They will be the final two. It will not matter who wins, they will both do great! Being an Okie, I am so for Melinda, however I think Jordan will be the next Idol, she is very marketable! I love Blake also, and it's way past time that LaKisha goes home. She will do well on Broadway.

I too love the BeeGees and was anticipating a great night so it was a huge disappointment. You are right on with all your observations. I do hope Blake goes home, I am weary of his beatboxing every song. The first one was not bad but his second song was monotonous. I hope to see Melinda and Jordan in the finals.

LaKisha is a bigger black woman?!?!?!? Wow, I usually watch with my eyes closed so I can concentrate on the singing, so I never noticed this ... seems to be a big thing with you, though.

Melinda: I agree with the judges. We know she can sing. She need to put something extra into it. I don't know what...but something.

Blake: He needs to focus more on his vocals. The first song was all over the place as far as pitch goes and the second was good, but I didn't FEEL it. As far as the beatboxing...I felt like the fist song was over done a little. It just seemed like the vocals were filler between the real show for him. I really liked the second song. I think he put just enough beatbox into it..and he kept his vocals technically on point.

Lakisha:Go home. Seriously. She completely blew the Chorus on "Stayin' Alive"...there's no excuse for that. We all know she can hit that note. She is too much attituce, not enough voice now. Buh bye.

Jordin:Wow. With Chris and Phil gone, she really shines for me. She was the best of the night and my pick to win this thing.

Bottom Two:Blake and Lakisha

Who should go home?: Kiki. She seems to have given up...plus, "Stayin' Alive" is just begging to be sent home. Didn't she learn anything from Phil?

Who will go home?: Kiki.

It was a snoozer of a show, I really can't remember a more boring Idol show. Wait, the one where ... never mind.

I think it's Kiki's time to go, regardless of her race, weight and hairstyle.

As usual, your column is good stuff, Nanc!
