Wow, I can't beleive this song is actually going to see the light of day. It's too bad that George isn't with us anymore, so he could add his input, then along with Ringo, it would be a new Beatles song. But I know Paul & Jeff will do an excellent job with it.

Thanks Chris for the thread(I hope it won't be deleted because of my post like the other one). Yes, it's going to be wonderful. I can hardly wait for the results. And this news comes at the 72nd anniversary of his birth. Paul is keeping the whole Beatles' legend so much alive. With a little help from the Beatles' friends. I hope Beatles' kids will do the same after he and Ringo pass away.

I think Sir Paul and Jeff will do it justice. I wished they would have Julian Lennon join them and invite Clapton to play on it too.

It would also be cool if they could get Dhani involved with it as well, even though we no longer have John & George with us, having their sons would be the next best thing.

Now and Then is a wonderful song and it does deserve to be finished, and to have all four Beatles together on one last song would be the dream so many fans have hoped for. But with all that said, pretty much every couple of years this rumor floats back up, of course Paul has expressed his desire to complete it, but his remarks were made back in 2007. I would love to see this released, John's original 5 minute version is very beautiful and even the 2006 fan mix is pretty nice too. Years ago we had the online petition to have it released, I think we had around 250 signatures, but it's since been closed, but who knows, it just might happen. After 16 years, I'm still hopefull.

Hello, Allan. Well, allow me so set the things straight here:It was you who started the petition in 2008, you were the initiator. We helped. I don't know if this song will finally be released, at least we tried. And tried hard. I remember how you, Larry, Jon in the States, me here stimulated so many people. It gave me a lesson about the power of the will, if you want something badly you can be so motivated. Anyway, the fact is that is song is wonderful, it is worthy to be released.

And since it's a thread about a forgotten John's song, I would like to say Happy Birthday in Heaven John and we all remember you. Your music, spirit and beliefs still inspire us to be better men and help to create a world of peace and brotherhood for all mankind.

Thank you my friend, it was an awesome group effort and the thought of it being released has once again made me smile. I am indeed hoping it happens, thanks for being supportive my friend, it is very appreciated.

What happened to McCartney covering the Research Turtle song like was announced by you last fall? I would rather hear him play stuff from this century.
