I once created a V&V. That's vodka and vinegar, you can loosen up and make a salad. But that was a long time ago. Now the V&V is vodka and Viagra, loosen up and stand tall.
Lol Let's name it "Happiness is a warm gun."

Hi Melba, good to see you again.
We are getting some rain and it makes me sleepy, but still wish I had some Cornbread.
It was 46.6 degrees (115F.) on Saturday. Bushfires weren't far from Melbourne, we stayed tuned to the radio. It was very sad listening to everyone involved, looking for missing people, losing everything. Impossible to sleep, the death toll kept getting higher. Towns completely wiped out. There's a lot of rebuilding to do. We all give what we can. You can read about it on Topix.
On a lighter note, have you heard the new Springsteen cd yet? BTW have you got a new friend?
Tell me later, I've got to go. Have fun.

My prayers go out to those people affected by this disaster.
I love the new Springsteen, especially the song Working on a dream, but the whole album is pure boss.
I'm very glad that Tooth has created this place,it's a great idea to have one thread just for chatting, that way the other threads can remain on topic, a big salute my friend and yours, Tooth.

For reasons that I wont explain, I wanted someone to know it ain't always what it seems. We're all good people, all of us.

I agree, we ALL have made mistakes, but we should learn and move on.

I'm thinking, we should plan a poster puppet show sometime next week. Bring out all of your old profiles and have a Knights Of The Round Table drinking contest. Give it a week to suit up all of these guys we haven't seen in a while, and to show off some new ones....

.......or not.

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he=2 0decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email. Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2007

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones.
I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
P.S. Sure is freaking hot down here!

The Knob

A woman visited her plastic surgeon who told her about a new procedure called The Knob, where a small knob placed at the top of the woman's head is be turned to tighten up her skin and produce the effect of a
brand new face-lift.
Well of course, the woman had to have this new procedure. Over the passage of many years, the woman tightened the knob and the effects were wonderful. The woman remained young looking and vibrant.
After fifteen years, the woman returned to the surgeon with two problems. All these years everything has been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob many times and I've always loved the results. But now I've developed two annoying problems: First, I have these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them.
The doctor looked at her closely and said, Those aren't bags, those are your breasts.

She said, Well, I guess there's no point in asking about the goatee.

More off topic stuff.

I know you guys are watching. You have been for quite a while. Why don't you just come out in an official capacity, when you see something you don't like, instead of the poster/monitor/mole charade. We're getting better. We're keeping the offtopic stuff on separate threads, trying to quote sources, and trying to be polite and include ALL posters. A lot of the problems we've been having, could have all been avoided, had you done your jobs in this way, as you've probably grown tired of the constant complaining about one another. It wasn't until two of your lieutenants went off the reservation and trashed the forum, did we realize that there was a problem. Mistakes have been made, and so we've learned to be better posters. You could have saved much time and angst had you just made your presence known from the beginning. One of our posters, who we thought was the Boogie Man and Freddy Krueger combined, is (as it turns out) just a regular guy, had we not had these stupid judge marks, and poll-creating capabilities without accountability to a registered profile. In fact, in order to post, one should have a registered profile, transparent to all as to where that poster has been.
1. Kill the judge marks
2. Require transparent profiles in order to post
3. Make your presence known clearly, when problems arise.

I guess I'm speaking for everyone, since I know several posters offline, and they all feel the same way. Let us post, but be good stewards of this environment. That's all we ask.
