That's only because the poll is manipulated by a loser who votes over and over and over again for Elvis.
Silly. You can only vote once in this poll.

The reason that I believe that the Beatles
were superior to Elvis,Who was a Presence
all to Himself. But Elvis never played abroad, He only did his concerts in America
because "The Colonel" could NOT get a pass
port! Also, The Beatles,(especially Lennon
& McCartney) wrote ALL their own music. In
the span of 10 years, the Beatles changed
the whole dynamics of Western Culture!

And Paul is over 70 yrs old, and plays
2-3 hr. concerts. And he seems to get better every show.I saw The Fab Four, here
in Las Vegas, August, 1964, Very hard to hear with all the screaming. Have now seen
"McCa" 4x and It's the best show ..Ever.In
those 4 shows, he played over 30 songs, and
played @ 5-10 songs, His Staple songs, "Hey
Jude", "Let It Be" "Live and Let Die", and
"I saw her Standing there",There was never
Repetitive song, until he played "The End", to End the Concert!

Just one more accolade, regarding the Beatles, and their 4 individual personalities.A lot of people don't realize
that on that Feb. night in 1964, John was still only 23, Ringo 23, Paul 21, and George, was only 19!!
And just recently, Paul broke his own record for attendance in Mexico City,He had
performed before 180,000 fans in Sao Paulo
Brazil, the OLD record. In Mexico City, in the Cities main downtown plaza, before 250,000 people. I don't believe that Elvis could have done that! Any Rebuttals?? Bring 'em on!

Ok, why do we have to continue these debates, Elvis vs Beatles. Their really is no reason to continue doing this, except to insult each of them. Let's face it, without Elvis their might not be The Beatles. Remember it was a young John Lennon who saw Elvis, & wanted to emulate him. So, let's just end this argument & agree, that Elvis is the greatest solo artist ever, & The Beatles are the greatest band ever. By the way, I'm a huge Beatles fan, & I'm not a big Elvis fan. Still, that doesn't mean I would ever want to deny him his place in history. Nor would ever want to downplay his influence on The Beatles, & many other recording artists as well.

You got a point here. You know, apart from their music what really amazed-es me after 30 years of being their fan, was-is that they achieved what they achieved when they had been 20-30 years old. Let's think of it. I was astounded by their intelligence and wit, they really were ahead their coevals musically and in brightness. And more importantly, the had intellectual curiosity, enquiring minds at a premature age! Maybe drugs helped a little to it, but not altogether. It was their minds who stretched the Rock music.

I suggest both and also try some Canadian groups like the Guess Who or Rush. Colin James is good too.You might even like Tragically Hip.
