<quoted text>"Love", "Da Capo", "Forever Changes" are the ones that I have; I never said that I don't like them. On the contrary, Arthur Lee was one of the greatest song writers I can think of. Comparing to the Beatles, I'm afraid that are very much behind them; Allright then, don't come to classes if you don't want to. You can love the...Love, but don't compare them to the Beatles. It's inaproppriate. Doesn't match. Beatles have...more, don't you get it? I don't care if you don't like them, it's your musical tastes, I respect them. But, please, don't you go on posting bad things about the Beatles, at least not here.
What I should have said Greg was if he doesn't like the Beatles, that's fine, but why waste time bashing them?
I don't care for Madonna or Mariah Carey, but I would rather talk Beatles instead of bashing them.
He explained that he cannot understand stand the Beatles music and doesn't care to, that's fine let the rest of the world listen to them.
They are not the greatest, biggest selling of music group in the world for nothing.
The Beatles rock.

Never said I did'nt understand them. They made 5 really good albums. Two of them were great. But, there were others just as good if not better.

Rubber Soul,Revolver,The White album and Abbey Road were their best.
Love was a good group too, they released some good music.
My original point is that the music of the Beatles is timeless, I know many people younger than me that love them.
I'm 41 and have loved their music for 25 years,
I understand if the Beatles aren't your thing, to each their own.

Sorry dude - but your method of "comparison" is like trying to say that Roger Maris was "as good if not better" than Babe Ruth because Maris happened to hit alot of home runs 1 season.

Ruth hit alot of homers EVERY year; he also had a great slugging %, he was a star pitcher early in his career, he changed the way the game was played and the way the world viewed baseball forever after. Maris was just a nice guy who had 1 great year.

Now put in "Love" for Maris and "Beatles" for Babe Ruth and it's actually a pretty good analogy, I think.

Although Love never topped ANY of the Beatles many (sales, attendance, chart) records the way Maris beat Ruth ONCE.

I'm with you BBB like comparing apples and oranges. I've got some 400 to 600 CD's and another couple hundred albums. The Bealtes are the very best in my mind.

I have to agree with you awc but I have to add pepper, one of the last Beatle albums I bought. Still like to listen to it.
