None of David Bowie's songs were straightforward. They never had one meaning. They were left for the listener to interpret what they thought it meant. That's what I love most about them. A lot of today's songs all have ONE meaning and it's an obvious one. That's one of the reason's I love David Bowie. He always had a theme to his CD's, but the songs within it could mean anything really.
