Lucinda Williams played at the Voodoo Lounge in Kansas City March 3rd. It was the first time I've gotten to hear her on stage. I want to apologize to Lucinda for the obnoxious crowd, big money venue---it's a Casino for crap's sake. It's going to be flashy, loud and corporate. Lucinda deserves huge audiences and huge money. From what I've come to understand about her though, this is probably not what she wanted. I tried to hang on her every word. Her singing, old songs and brand new songs were flawless. I just found out she's been here twice before. She played the Beaumont Club and Starlight therater. I just wanted to put a shout out that I loved her work and hope she'll give Kansas City another chance. I've never been a fan of anyone but I am now. I bought all of Lucinda's CD's and listen to them nightly while I'm on my MAC. Lucinda, maybe you need to buy your own town. You know, build it and they will come? Recreate, like you did in Nashville. Many acers that the government can't touch. I'd buy a cabin there. Motorcycles instead of horses. Why not? A country town----inland Los Angeles. Stoners have real digs and people who love their work. A Kansas Citian who wants to live in your town.(I can pay cash.) Let me know. plazalynn@earthlink.net Lynn Souther I'm 57 so don't wait too long.:):):):)
