I was at the show, Dakota has talent, and Brubeck at 87 can still tickle the ivory .... great show and festival!

Nothing sad, no killings, no crime,.... just a 12yr old kid getting the meeting of a lifetime.

wow,,we can only comment of "nice" stories? courant shut down forums about ALL THE SHOOTINGS IN HARTFORD OVER THE WEEKEND!!!.
IN THE WONDERFUL CITY OF HARTFORD. that city is so out of control. someone get rid of eddie. and,as for you hartford courant, you stink,,,curbing our freedom of speech, not allowing readers to comment. go outta business, hartford courant AND perez. whatta joke you are.

It's too bad that the thread for this story couldn't have stayed upbeat. We finally get a positive story and you spew your anger all over it. There aren't enough negative stories for you to comment on? I don't like the fact that some threads get shut down either, but trying to stay positive once in a while doesn't hurt anyone.

Agreed. I got to meet Dave when he performed at SummerWind in Windsor several years ago, and he was just as solicitous of the young musicians there as he was of Dakota. Long live Dave Brubeck!

How cool is this!! I saw Mr. Brubeck perform last year in Durham. What an to witness a living legend play his butt off.
