The Geto Boys are the Pioneers of the South my favorite song is My Mind is Playin Tricks on me. I got much love and respect for the Member's of the the Geto Boys: Scarface, Bushwick Bill & Wille D.

My Favorite Scarface Albums are: The Diary in 1994, Untouchable in 1996 and Last of a Dying Breed in 2000. Those albums are so hard it's rediculous. "SCARFACE IS THE KING OF THE SOUTH!!!"

My Favorite 8 Ball & MJG albums are Coming Out Hard, On Top of the World,& Living Legends I also like MJG's 1st Solo Album No more Glory.

Outkast was the 1st Mainstream male rappers from ATL My favorite Outkast songs are Southernplayalistics & So Fresh So Clean.

Like Scarface, UGK was pioneers of Houston,TX also and one of my favorite songs of all time is Pocket Full of Stones. They continue to sell records and put out hard albums. Bun B & Pimp C are Legends.

Luke is a Pioneer of Miami, Florida area also he has like the Too Short of the south and he had the party music.

Mr. Mike from Houston is one of the greatest Mc's to ever come from the state of Texas and the South. He was on the Same record label (Suave House) wit 8 Ball & MJG for many years. His 1st Solo Album Wicked Ways in 1996 is one of the hardest Rap Albums to ever come out. Also his group (The South Circle Click) came out with and Album too in 1995 and that album was hard as hell. He could also sing too and he would sing on his hooks and then Rap he is a very talented artist.

Without these Pioneers thhere would be no Jeezy, Chamillionaire, T.I., Luda, Lil Scrappy, Lil Jon and so on and so on!

If you ask me out of the new southern Rappers I like Lil Wayne - one of the best emcees alive, Jeezy & some T.I. songs.

CLASS DISMISSED !!- HA HA

NAP TOWN FO LIFE!

SCARFACE IS STILL THA KING OF THE SOUTH BECAUSE I SAID SO AND I DONT CARE IF HE DONT WANT TO BE KING OF THE SOUTH BECAUSE HE STILL IS REGARDLESS!

I think two members form DTP share the label "King of the South" that is Ludacris and Tity Boi. NO one else could claim that they are the King of the South or Southeast(in reality)

I agree. It's a insult for anybody to say Scarface ain't da king of da South. If you from da South and wonderin who is Scarface then you should leave rap music alone.

The King of the South is Andre 3000, can't nobody fuck with his lyrics. And this cats turned to soul singing and still put it down better than anybody else in the region.

"Look I'll get you hooked
You crooks might even move to Atlanta, JAWJA
Get a wife and daughter
Start a new life and all the wrong you do you'll make it right
But hell all a dream
I wear the crown im KING
Respect is mandatory
end of the story go fly a kite
Catagory ain't got none
You know i'm right!"
Andre 300 "The Mighty O"

And thats just a sample. Who fucking with it?

Scarface is better than any young rapper from the south out right now. Especially his Getto Boys stuff. These young clowns shouldnt even be mentioned with him. I am not sure if he is the best cuz dont forget about Trick Daddy. Trick Daddy is from Miami. It is very close as to who is better between those 2. Too close to call, I dont know.

Maybe i am just hearing something different than a lot of y'all talkin about how good Lil' Wayne is. Now granted I havent heard any of his CD's, only what I have seen on videos. And what I have seen is awful. Is this just his mainstream stuff, but the tracks on his CD's are just raw & he flows like a madman? I am a little confused, I dont want to have to buy one of his CD's to find out, but please someone give me the low down. Or is todays standards of what a great MC is just a lot lower?
