Thank you, Farmers & Merchants! A great example of corporate citizenry!

And a great example of how to keep out of a financial mess.

If more banks (and people) thought the way F&M does, we'd probably not have the current financial melt-down.

I am glad to see them supporting a worthy endeavor, Long Beach Symphony isn't the greatest in the world but it is quite good and one of the few things I regret leaving behind when I moved away.

F&M is a great bank.
1. The Clinton Administration harassed them because they only made GOOD loans. They were in violation of the Community Reinvestment Act which caused the whole crisis. F&M was doing the right thing.
2. Let the Symphony crowd pay for their own Symphonies. The City is bankrupt from giving away millions of dollars. The arts can afford their own tickets.(The Art Museum and their $3million bond)
Thanks F&M for being responsible. Again, you are setting a good example.

I have had accounts at F & M Bank for many decades. I've never had a bit of trouble. When account holders make inquiry to F & M about their accounts they are able to reach real people who are able to provide answers. With all the problems one hears account holders have with impersonal Big Banks, its surprising more of them don't switch their accounts to F & M.

A wolf in sheep's clothing.
They do only good,... we can agree to disagree.
A conservative bank.... yes and noble. But they also are self centered ( and represent Big Business). Many good people have been harmed under the guise of their self-righteousness.
