Cell phones outlawed while driving? THe plice cant even enforce the carpool lane!

Under current laws, our communities are teeming with "banned" hard drugs.

Is this the definition of "catastrophic success"?

..good comments, the police can't police all that happens...let me start w/ the seatbelt, why are people still riding in the back if trucks on the road?...we can't get it straight, too many police officer want to be your friend...

The HPD will use a "ban" on cell pone use as a means to pull someone over. People are addicted to their phones, and will always sneak a call. Then it's "license, registration, proof of insurance"..Oh, oh. On Maui, a "seat belt violation" is $114. Who knows what a "cell phone useage" violation will be? Then the cop can nail the driver for all other infractions including DUI.
The police should be confined to a motor vehicle's driving. All this visual stuff going on inside the car is irrelevant.

Aren't we special to have the next president come from here? No. It's only a big, egotistic deal to us. "Obama is from Hawaii, not your state." "Obama is from Oahu, not your island." "Obama went to Punahou, not your crummy school." "Obama lived on my street, not your loser street." Are we actively seeking trivia to become condescending? Keep building walls and towers but remember King of the Hill when we were young? Somebody always got hurt.
