Yeah, Maurice!! Incidentally, the first thing I did, was to open a windows file where I regularily up date the list of celebrities visiting Graceland. I have them in chronological order, so while the page was going down to where the Q is located, I thought, "WOW", ehilst simulataneously assuming that it was probably going be the first person whose last name starts with that letter. Wrong. Randy Quaide was there before her. Looking forward to seeing the BBC documentary.

Maurice, you may wonder why I have the list, on Windows, when EPE publishes it on their website. Well, there are two reasons. The first is to protect me from not being able to show it off, to friend and foe alike, in the event of an internet failure (LOL). Also, sometimes the Graceland and EPE version of that page takes a week, or two, before being p-dated. Thirdly, my list includes people who´ve visited the house, then told me about it. I always mail Graceland when this happens, but there was a time when they did not include a famous italian pop singer in the list ( I can´t imagine why, really), so I stopped telling them about it.

Maurice, if you have the time, go to the article on wikipedia, then take the link to San Isidro, the district that´s mentioned.

Then open the picture which is located half way doen the page. Open it, large, and look, from right to left, I repeat, from right to left, at the fifth large building. Forget about the smaller ones, that´s a different street. In the 1960´s, all that row of buildings, all of it, in fact, was not there, their place being taken, instead, by immense estates, whose second, and in some cases, third floors had incredible views of the Golf course, which of course had been there since 1950.

Where that fifth apartment building is now located, was where the Hang Ten´s drummer´s former mansion stood, and where the band practiced every week-end, before and sometimes even after their presentations.

Just wanted to make you feel as if you were there too, with our common friend.

Thanks Jim, I saw the buildings on Wiki.:-)

Yes it's a good thing your list of celebrity visitors to Graceland exists. Many minor Irish celebrities and politicians have visited too.

Have you got the "My Boy" musical, written by George Twamley and performed in Ireland, in your other list?

Hi Maurice, again!!

Just to tell you the story of the Spanish reporter who was idiotic enough to claim, in his newspaper, that he did not why Presley´s hair is, first, in such abundancy after 32 years of him having passed away, secondly, why is it getting so much attention, and thirdly, why is it selling for such high prices.

I directed two e-mail messages at him, for publication, but it appears he has thus far blocked them from his website, such was my degrading him for nort knowing.

In short I told him that the reason there´s so much hair which belonged to him, has to do with, firstly, him being the only known celebrity to have served in the US Army at the exact peak of his popularity. So what, the idiot must have said, when he read that part of my statement. Oh yeah? But what about the fact that his being drafted led to his first haircut being the most celebrated in US Army history. Maybe he was starting to understand what came next, which meant that, after that first haircut, and the commotion it caused, led not just to his having received a haircut each two weeks for the next 20 or so months, but to barbers coming to the unsurprising conclusion that, as far as the value of the stuff they were cutting, saving some of it might mean a lot, in future. Two and two is four...(LOL)

What a dumb story - who cares about Quatro? She claims he was such a huge influence, but she turned down his personal invitation? Yeah, right. Just another washed up celeb trying to grab a little fame off HIS name. And who cares what celebs visit Graceland? Big deal.

She was afraid of getting into a relationship with her idol, as she was dating someone who she considered very special for her.

Same with Cher, who was afraid Bono would find out.

As to who cares which celebrities visit Graceland, that may not be a big deal to you, dsaewq, but ask those that visited Gracelnd when he was alive, like Bruce Springsteen, or Bill Bradley, and they will tell you, immediately, that bthey consider that amongst their most incredible moments.

Let alone the fact that Graceland is the only private home other than the White House, or any Presidential retreat, to have been the host to a meeting between a sitting President and a Foreign Head of State, as well as being both a US landmark, and the most visited house in America, after the White House.

If the US Library of Congress says Presley´s picture at the Oval Office is the most requested, in its history, then why celebities visiting Graceland, like the current President of Costa Rica, who is a Nobel Prize winner, should not be considered a big deal? It is one, and a big one, all of it...
