ALBUM: "The Best Damn Thing" Maybe Avril Lavigne wasn't ready to grow up. On her third record, "The Best Damn Thing," the now 22-year-old Lavigne reverts to the high school POV that made her famous.

"the Best Damn Thing" isn't. Her 1st 2 albums were way better. She sounded more mature on her 1st with songs like "Tomorrow". I enjoyed hearing her "bare her soul". On this this new album she sounds juvenile & at times, a bitch ("Girlfriend"). If the other 2 albums didn't exist and this was her 1st effort I wouldn't even be an Avril fan. Big disappointment :(

I dont like the new Avril and i would have to say that if you were a fan from the biggining you wouldnt either.

Avril was the anti-cheerleader and now not only is she cheerleader material she's also captian.

Its like she took a 180 turn, its pathetic. I mean her songs i would have to say have always been chidish and had simple lyrics but they still had more though in them then "hey hey you you i dont like your girlfriend" i mean thats pathetic. She reminds me of Hillary duff or something.

Avri Lavigne is not all that great, she's superficial and virtually talentless. She can't sing through anything but her nose and she wear far to much makeup. Thick eyeliner doesn't make you 'goth' or a 'rocker' it makes you look like a 'poser', a 'wannabe'. Avril doesn't put that much thought into her music, and thank GOD for directors. OTherwise her videos would suck as bad as her music. All In my opinion.

I have a huge thing about Avril Lavinge. Can you tell? Watching Saving Private Ryan right now. THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!

i like the new Avril because she has changed and her attitude in the song is awesome....but i just can't believe that she is getting sued. for rewriting that song because people say that song is a rewrite of hey hey you i don't like your boyfriend...song in the 80's.

But i do belive she could sing.

hey i love her old albums and when i first heard her new album i LOVED it for the first 10 times i played it
now i've moved on already . the songs get pretty boring soon ... its a fun album but i prefer the old stuff . plus shes partying with britney spears now...obviously not good.
