As I recall, it brought the cancer treatment Laetrile into the spotlight for a while.

Dang it Ramon, get a job! El Paso Times is dead and so are you.

Need a good American News Paper. Please Apply at the Mexican News Paper (El Diario of El Paso) for inquiries.

The more RR haters there are, the more I like the Vato. It takes a strong personality to bring out the critics. C/S

Good story ... every story that mentions an old, "peaceful Juarez" makes me sad.

Ramon comes up with the dumbest "non-stories". I must thank Ramon though, I was deciding which section of the paper to use to clean up some spilled pain...he made that choice much, much easier....

Why is this front page news? A semi-famous actor died 30 years ago and now Mr. Ramon wants to see his name in lights? El Paso Times, monitor what your untalented writers produce.... Funny, I applied to your company years ago at a job fair and was told I needed a bachelor's degree in journalism in spite of the fact I worked years with a magazine. So you hire on halfwits and let them write whatever?

Uh, Renteria writes a general-information column that runs out front in Sunday's Borderland section.

It's not an article, feature story, news analysis or editorial -- it's just a column. And columnists pretty much write about anything they choose. That's why they're columnists.

It was a very long time ago, at least for my poor memory, but as I recall he was there because Laetril was legal there and not here.
