Ferris Beuller Ferrari was actually an MG!

The Ferrari from that movie was actually a highly modified MG! Only a few were made but someone is starting to make them again!

Actually, the Ferris Bueller car was a Datsun Z car replica done by McBurnie (Sp?). Similar kits are available from a couple of sources these days and rely on a Datusn 240/260/280 chassis for motive power.

I thought the 60's Batmobile was based on a Pontiac chassis rather than a 55 Ford....anyone know for sure?

I’m with NeonEdge above on the comment about the Challenger. It surely should rank in the top 10.

VegasGuy, I am not sure about the Batmobile but I always understood it to be an ex-Lincoln show car. What it was built on, I do not know.

Pretty good list there, tho I do believe Herbie the love bug is worthy of being on the list of memorable movie stars.

The Mad Max/Road Warrior car was actually an Australian XB GT. It's an Aussie only car built on the falcon platform. The nose was a fiberglass conversion available in the 70s.
