New Star Wars MMO Screenshots: It's a Trap

BioWare has issued a few new screenshots from Star Wars: The Old Republic, one of which features a Mon Calamari.

It's a Trap, like all new MMO's , they are going to hype the heck out of it and hand you an incomplete game,like DDO, Like LoTRo, like Warhammer:AoR and so many others. It's the new business model for MMO's, rather than create a great game that could compete with WoW, they will lure you in with that promise,and take your money.

Server merges, half hearted fixes and a pretty box is all you will get.

Maybe I'm just cynical, only time will tell.

its not gonna be all to good, it's going to be a sterotyplicle (Lol tried to do that right) game and be centraled around only jedi, mabey 2 other differnt kinds. If you want a Starwars MMO, go to Star wars galexis. It has a lot more varitiy

BIOWARE, PLEASE DON'T COMPLETELY CHANGE AND REMAKE THE GAME HALF WAY INTO IT LIKE SONY DID WITH SWG! The game was AWESOMELY great until they completely did a huge change a few months after the introduction of vehicles/bikes.

And I am just your basic dude, I don't even like Star Wars at all really, honest but that game got me INTO IT.

So far looking good though Bioware! Fufill the hype and finish before release! It WILL pay off.

PS: Star Wars Galaxies is complete trash now compared to what it once was a few years back. Its just not fun. The PVP was my favorite.. it was logon and go to a random town with your peeps on bikes to fight.

I wish there was some videos I made. But SWG right after they introduced the flying bikes/cars was its PRIME! So fun I miss it... owned even World of Warcraft IMHO. In all aspects...

I think blizzard has done a good job in the past and present... Bioware has made some great titles though recently. Bioshock IIRC was one, and it was very different and well done from other games IMO. Also, quite successful apparently from the reading I have done.

What the problem is with unfinished games nowadays is the big heads put out a certain date and the poor coders and makers of these games have to rush and meet the deadline....they should NOT do this with games as it turns a million dollar idea with 10 dollars worth of effort and half a million of investing in the hype into a dream for everyone. Everyone wants it to succeed but there is no passion in game design nowadays with these big companies. The little guys of course have slim to none chance to bring big titles to the table.

Lucas Arts is involved in this and starwars is a dead horse people keep beating for money. I'm pretty sure its going to follow the current mmo trend and be horrible.
