It is amazing that neither one of these greats failed to mention who gave them their start in gospel music. Eldridge Fox was the cornerstone/backbone of the Kingsmen Quartet until his stroke in the early 2000s. Squire Parson would have made it in gospel music on his own but Ray Dean Reese would still be in the sales market had it not been for Foxy. Lot of good singers were with the Kingsmen in their careers. Calvin Runion was a good bass singer but the best, whose life was cut short at an early age, was Reece McKinney. Ray Dean had to live up to them as a singer and just did not do it. Congratulation to both Squire and Ray Dean.
