The Fray may not have many things in common with AC/DC and the Ramones, but the three bands share one major trait: Each developed a signature sound and mined it again and again.

I thought Slade sounded outright drunk last night. At one point during "How to Save a Life", he quit singing all together". Not cool! The next song he just put his head down on the piano while the guitar player sang. He also had a hard time getting up from his piano stool. We deserved a tighter show.

I didn't think the show was nearly as bad as this review makes it out to be. I think people got what they paid for, three great bands which put on energized performances. The Fray may not be everyone's cup of tea, but to tell a band on tour supporting their first record that they're in a "rut" as the bottom line of this article states seems a little much.

Did you not see the bugs? Did you not see everyone fighting and swallowing bugs?

I thought it was amazing! O.K Go was also amazing! Mae has some work to do though they werent all together like a real band should be but i bet once they get more publicity and get known they will do better......Tim, he even said that a bug flew right in his eye during like the first song.

I was in the very front row, center for the entire show. I thought that Mae did a very good job and I really enjoyed them... although I wished they would have played a little longer. Ok Go was very entergized and fun. I have been to 3 Fray shows in the last year, and I thought that last night's was the best. I was right up front by the stage and there were bugs everywhere... around me, and flying all around the stage. Isaac kept swallowing bugs when he sang and they is why he had to quit singing and put his head down. He also got a bug in his eye, that Joe later got out. I think that there show was amazing and there was no way that Isaac was drunk, and they did am amazing job even with all of the bugs everywhere.

I went to this concert and thought that it was amazing. The mellow and middle-ground sound is what the Fray is famous for. They sounded as good live as they do on their CD, which is comforting and goes against something that is often disappointing when you attend a concert. The song variety was great, and especially the last song, a mix of my personal favorite "Look After You" and a cover of "Wonderwall" by Oasis ended the concert perfectly and left the audience wanting more. The insect problem was at times unbearable, but showed the audience that the band was dedicated to what they were doing and would not let some insects ruin their entire night. Perhaps you are not a fan of the Fray, but I have learned to love the mellow and "middle-ground" sound that they employ.

I've been to three Fray shows in the last year, and my girlfriend to 4. This show was really good (except for the bugs). If you looked in the overhead lights during the performance, you could see the hundreds of bugs flying around. It's no surprise that the guys had some difficulty.

What absolutely amazed me was how many people ditched early. I mean, people were making a run for the doors a couple of songs before the encore. And as soon as they played 'Over My Head', it seriously looked like half the venue was leaving. Now I know mommy and daddy were there to pick a lot of you up so that you wouldn't break curfew. And I'm sure they didn't think much of it since they shelled out the 40 dollars for your tickets.

But it's still embarrassing as an Indianapolis concert goer to be lumped in with a group that gets labeled as a bad crowd. Sure these guys get paid for being on stage, but it still sucks when it's to a small crowd (which is exactly what happened when the show was over). Why not stay for the entire show?

You definitely got it all wrong sam. I went to the houston show as well and it was no where near disgusting. It was actually one of the best concerts I've seen from them. Drunk? No. Never during a show. Get your fray facts right.
