Same blood, same mud

I have your blood
And your have mine.
You and I have walked in the same mud
And have escaped the same land mine.
We were exploited on the same plantation,
Where we were lashed out by the sunrays
Of slavery, we were struck by the baton
Of racism and exploitation. Nights and days,
We slept with fear and woke up with the stains
Of injustice in our brains and in our pain-stricken hearts
Mothers fought like the Amazonian and the African queens.
Oh! It is terrible and sad; and it is a great deal of hurts
To reminisce those dreadful moments.
You have my blood
To withstand all sorts of agonizing events.
You and I are made of the same mud.
We are strong, quick and resilient.
We are fast, bright and patient.
It is imperative that we work together
To defeat the common enemy,
The scavengers of the prairie,
And we must unconditionally love each other.

Look …

Look into your eyes
So you can see the morbid flies.

Very often, you are quick to criticize
Your friends and your neighbors,
But you mercilessly fail to analyze
Or to investigate why the flowers
Are no longer gorgeous,
Wonderful and vivacious.

Look into your eyes
And try to understand the plights
And the cries of your enemies
Before subjecting them to unnecessary autopsies.

Think, think before acting stupid.
You are not as pretty as Cupid.
You ought to always look into your soul first
Before exposing yourself to the undaunted curse.

You are as imperfect as Mrs. Jones,
You are as ridiculous as the clowns
Left burning on the benches of the last century;
You are not as smart and you are neither as pretty.

Touch your eyes
So you can feel the dead flies,
And the rust that are eroding your soul
And the contents of your bowl.

Be compassionate all the time,
Be generous to everyone in town
And it is a guarantee that no one will frown
The next time you lose a dime.

Look into your eyes
So you can expel the dead flies,
So you can see better
The beauty of Mother Nature.
