Remember simpler summers when this conversation was possible: "Are you going to Reggae this year?" "Yeah." Now it sounds something like this: "Are you going to Reggae this year?" "Um, which is the one on the river?" "They are both on the river." "Which one is the one where Sean Paul made everyone angry?" Ad nauseum until you figure out that Reggae ...

i really felt like an outcast at the concert, all i had was a little wine.people there were doing and selling drugs everywhere.what happened to self control? what happened to enjoying life naturally without chemicals to altar their states.i heard agirl never woke up,this really saddens me.the music was great.
As you sat there drinking/doing your drug of choice you had the gall to judge others for doing the same? A lot hypocritical aren't you? And howe much did they hurt you buy doing their drugs of choice? I mean some harm had to happen to you to make you so judgemental right? Or are you judging based on personal opinions and unfounded fears?

the harm is not being done to me it is being done to themselves .i care about other people. icare about the parents of the girl who died .my younger brother almost died of a drug o.d. my husband has cancer and i just dont understand how people can destroy thier bodies when other people dont have a choice.

Biscuits, Im sitting here thinking to myself, and wondering if you did any research on Reggae festivals before you bought your ticket?.Had you ever attended a reggae music festival in the past. How did you come to attend this festival. Was it through a friend, and if so, why didnt your friend exsplain what goes on at these festivals. I take offence to your comment about self control. The reason for this is, these festivals are about freedome, freedome of choice, freedome of body.I have been attending these festivals for over 14 years now, and have worked as a staff member for 12 of those years. I admit that plenty of drug use is going on among alot of the festival goers, but not all, there are alot of familys who attend the festival, and even more staff and crew members who remain sober for the entire festival, there are over 1,500 crew members, and staff, probably more than that, who stay sober, to provide festival goers with services, and to ensure festival goers safty.
It seems you only seen, what you consider bad, the people on drugs, and the people sellin drugs. Thats a shame I think. It,s a shame you missed the beauty of the trees, and the people, It,s a shame you missed the great music, and love.
I feel sad that you choose to tune in to the negitive, and judge everyone around you. If thats how you felt at this festival, then reggae festivals are not your cup of tea, and thats ok. But please, try to look harder next time, and you may see the good.
