I can't believe it. It's completely Horse S*IT! I'm straight and I actually enjoyed the development of the two characters. It was interesting, sweet, and damn funny. As for Brooke Smith -- come on -- she kicks some serious butt. I don't understand how the execs can just give her the boot, she brought in ratings. And for Shonda to come out and say it was a 'creative decision' is completely untrue. She herself said it a few months back how she wanted to see these two characters grow and that the best is yet to come. I've lost respect for Grey's and they lost a viewer after tonight's episode.
