I'm not sure why Mr. Tobias is a legend.

Was he selected as a legend in spite of the alleged prostitution ring scandal or because of it? Is this like "king" or "queen" for a day thing? They say timing is everything. However, I am a bit puzzled. Oh well! All hail, Randall Tobias!(amid trumpet fanfare)

What a friggin joke! You would have thought that Tobias would have had the class to withdraw...never mind, he has no class. It would be interesting to know what these people did to meet the IHS criteria...I can think of many Hoosiers (also high profile) from the arts, sports, health and business deserving of this title.$250 for this...IHS, you can do better than this, surely.

The Historical Society is a bunch of sellouts --$250/plate, THAT's why they're not doing the right thing here and rescinding the nomination. Whatever happened to folks in this country standing up and doing the right thing? I'll tell you what happened: lawyers. Now everybody is afraid of the ACLU, lawsuits -- what a joke. I'm never giving the Historical Society another dime of my money.

None of you have the right to judge this man. I honestly doubt that you've gone your whole lives without making a mistkae or using bad judgement. The fact of the matter is this man has made a difference in some many lives around the world due to his dedication and hard work. He deserves to be honored as a living legend for all that he's acccoplished throughout his lifetime. Regardless of his status, at the end of the day he's a hunam being just like everyone else and EVERYONE makes mistakes. He truly deserves the respect that he's earned.

Well Harry I can see where you might have missed the story Monday on the charges against Rep. Jefferson ( D, LA) but you had to catch some of the Clinton - Monica bit: or are you blind to Demolishcrat debacles?

And in recent news, William Jefferson (D- Louisiana) faces 16 charges of bribery, obstruction, racketeering. The Louisiana Democrat's schemes reached across the Atlantic ocean, prosecutors say. Investigators found $90,000 in Jefferson's home freezer.

So much for Pelosi's "corruption-less" party.

ha, let's go celebrate a sleazebag.

seriously though, he's human. its only a big deal b/c of his stature and public service, but geez, i wouldn't want to be him or the people "celebrating" him.

and what's the point of just getting a massage from a hooker w/o a happy ending?

poppycock. That sounds like some canned rush limbaugh response. Try thinking on your own instead of letting talking heads do the work for you. IHS could've rescinded his "nomination" if they wanted to. He has no damages if they did. If anything, they could just put it off until things cool down next year...provided he keeps his er...nose clean. Babyface is a bigger draw anyway, who cares about some CEO/gov't bureaucrat besides his friends and contemporaries.

Good Sir Lohman,
Before you go off an a BS liberal Tort stop to think about your words before they come tumbling out of that God Foresaken face hole you so lovingly call a mouth. Do you kiss your mother with that thing?
Clearly this "Honorable mention" was put into play before the prostitution ring situation happened. If you know how these things work, it takes YEARS *literally* to get any sort of word back from the Vogons at IHS.
Biff, Best advice for you. You live in Lansing Michigan, Stay out of our current affairs.

So, no one recalls that Sandy Patti comitted adultery, divorced her husband, and married her lover? We all make mistakes, we are all sinners. Thank God for His grace that is available to any who confess and seek forgiveness.
