And of course Greg Moran parrots Democrat talking points. The bottom line with ObamaCare is that one is FORCED into it. You either join, pay a fine, or go to jail.

If ObamaCare is so damned great, why do people have to be forced into it?

And why won't Obama and congress accept the program for themselves? If they don't want it, I don't want it. Especially after they raise our taxes even higher to pay for it.

What stunningly ignorant comments from Greg Moron. I could easily rebut every single point he makes but for the sake of brevity, let's just state the fact is that polling shows most Americans ARE satisfied with their health care plans and the far left ideologue Obama IS trying to ram his (i.e. liberal Congressional Democratic) scheme through before citizens are able to adequately read and anaylze it (as what happened with his "stimulus" spending scheme).

__________

What polling are you referring to? Not the 72% poll of Americans that say they want a public option. The insurance companies are not only crushing families, they are killing BUSINESS by their high premiums.

People, stop and think about things and dont pay attention to talk radio. The minute you lose your job and you, your spouse, or your god forbid one of your kids gets an illness, you are out of luck. Get ready for insurance premiums at $1,000+/month or more for you and your family.

BTW, every argument like this was made when Medicare was being debated, and you dont see the elderly up in arms about their care..and or the vets that get treatment at VA, and you dont see them turning it down either.

Actually, let me correct that. $1,000+/month in premiums if you are all healthy. You cant get insurance if one of you has an illness, aka preexisting condition.

Just curious, Stacy, why werent you complaining when Bush's Medicare Drug plan giveaway to the drug companies was enacted a couple of years ago, which helped blow a hole in the budget?

Is your complaint political or legitimately backed by facts? Also, do you have health insurance and how much do you pay? Do you have employees and pay for their health insurance with huge premium increases every year? Im a business owner and health insurance premium increases are crushing me.

How convenient (and ludicrus) for you to assume what I do and don't complain about! FYI, I have continuously spoken out against 'Bush's Medicare Drug plan giveaway'. It is just another entitlement program. I also continuously speak out against employers paying for medical insurance. I have consistently and continuously stated that health care is the individual's responsibility. But based on your uninformed diatribe, you seem to think everyone else should pay for your health care! You want socialism? Move to a socialist country!

Thank you Stacy for your informative posts.

Every day, we're learning more about how horrendously flawed, irresponsible, and downright dangerous the Obama/Democratic health care plan is.

For example, the House Democratic Health-Care Bill would establish "Medical Homes" for the elderly and disabled that would not require a physician to be on the staff. This could very well lead to restrictions on which treatments may be used for certain conditions.

This pilot program targets Medicare beneficiaries who have a high medical “risk score” or who require regular monitoring, advising or treatment. This currently applies to more than 22 million Americans, according to Kaiser Family Foundation statistics.

Just a hunch, but I bet that Obama, Rahm Emanuel, Nancy Pelosi and other wealthy liberal elites would not put their elderly family members into one of these "Medical Homes."

Stacy, I seem to have touched a nerve there, but you didnt answer my questions about whether you have ever run a business or dealt with purchasing health insurance for employees so by your lack of response, so I would guess no.

Im sure you would have great employees working for you when you speak out against employer health insurance. Get ready to lose all of them to your competitors that offer insurance. Im sure everyone will want to spend $20K+/year on health insurance for their families, that is if they can get it. I dont want others to pay for my insurance--I just dont want to pay for the sales and marketing costs of companies like United Healthcare that made $859 million last quarter in profits.

Nice article by Dalrymple (a psychiatrist that spends lots of time in the ER!), who by his other writings, is clearly politically biased, and nonetheless on the opinion page of the Journal, which is another political hack piece. Take a look at our country's ranking by WHO for health care delivery...36th in the world, behind Slovenia and socialist Cuba..nice ranking.

As for me being for socialism, "How convenient (and ludicrus--it's ludicrous btw) for you to assume" that I am a socialist. I bet I'm more capitalist than you will ever be. Ever started three businesses and taken two of them public? I bet not...Just throw out the socialist label when all else fails to scare people of the socialist boogeyman.

Even conservatives in other countries support health care for all. Is food and clothing a right? Yes, it is philosophical, and I support it.
