I left out, New York New York, Hotel California, and of course Cant’ get you out of my head and Red-blooded woman.

Aaron did you watch Obama’s speech last night? For us it was this morning. I think he does Americans very proud. His message is really heating up and moves people. When people get moved spiritually and get hope and motivation, nothing can stop them. Last three nights I have stayed up late to watch, the Clintons getting behind Obama and Obama himself. It is really time to leave the failed gunshot policies of the past behind and start a change, at schools, in the neighbourhoods, in the ghettos, and everywhere else. Military alone does not deliver security. As Obama said the pioneering American spirit does.

Okay he is not a dud after all. In fact he is great.

Thsnks for the icebreaker khosrow, you're a good man. I don't know if we agree on a whole lot, at least on favorite diva or in some politics, but from a wider view we seem to have the same interests.
I was going to mention Madonna songs as best of the last 25 years, but could not narrow it down, except to say entire first album (best solo disco album ever) plus Get Into the Groove and then other hits. When I moved from an average CA town to Santa Barbara for first two years of college, "Hotel California" kept going through my mind, that casual laid back decadence. "New York, New York" - my first thought was Nina Hagen and Grandmaster Flash's same titled song - a generational thing - true but funny.
I just saw a DVD of HBO's show The Wire (2003ish), where Baltimore dock union leaders go to Rotterdam and are presented with the future of ship-unloading. They literally couldn't believe the numbers on how efficient (and hitech) the Rotterdam system was.
I did catch Hillry's speech - maybe her best ever - and thought she was The One. And the Clintons, for whatever conflict exists with Obama camp, seemed the most helpful to a nominee of any runners-up I can recall. Obama gave a great speech too. He inspires and challenges with bold goals similar to JFK's "man on the moon by this decade." (Congress and NASA, "This decade?! We haven't even taught a monkey how to drive a car yet!!)
